Alright.

I have this up on malicious website; it works OK but the bots still get through about 4 a day. I think 1-2 of the custom images I used are too easy to decipher because of their color and contrast to the image verification letters.

No real way to know (yet) which images their successfully registering on

I *think* these images are okay.

Some of the first list are too hard i think.
I can't see all the letters sometimes. Maybe you can state how much letters there need to be found so you can search for them. Yay to the find-the-code game

5-6 bots were still getting through a day.

I undid the "foreground" noise to make it easier to see.

After I changed that, one bot got through in 3 days.

Almost like, the script the bot uses to read PHPBB's captcha recognizes the forground lines and uses those to start deciphering. Cuz once I disabled forground noise, the bots stopped.

Small update.

Since I made those changes for "less noise" none of the bots have gotton through, at least on Mal. I will miss them. Well, not really. LOL.
