Gambling
What's the most anyone's ever made from gambling? Whether it be poker or lottery. I went to the Borgata yesterday and bought in $180 at a blackjack table. Went down to $100 at one point but after 3 hours I got back up to $475 and cashed out so I profited $295.

Was on vacation visiting my dad over the past week. Went to the Casino with my mom before coming home today and we won $1300, lost back just over $300 and split the rest. Paid for my new phone today.

0.25 slot machines. Normally they don't pay that much, but the woman won the jackpot once and together we got triple 7s over 25 times (pays $60 to $90 each time). Deduct from that amount the cost of our spins between wins and it came out to $1300 before we blew the $300 something chasing a second jackpot.
My dad lives in the middle of nowhere. Their casino is just a bunch of slot machines and a horse track. Normally I like playing Blackjack.

Re: Gambling
Highest cash was just under 5k in a weekend. Cashed in 3 tourneys and had a good run at craps.

Re: Gambling
I got addicted to online slot machines a while back, think it was on William Hill.
Did a minimum bet of £0.02, and got £100 back. Just think if i'd done a bigger bet.
After about a week i went from £20 to around £180, then back down to £120.. then put it all in my bank. So i was happy.

Re: Gambling
Dumb question...but if anyone's really ever won a large lottery, or a lot of money on a slot machine, what's the likelihood they'll be surfing a Silkroad fan forum?
Ontopic - $600 off a single pull of the handle in Vegas. My wife and I do gamble a bit, $100-$200 spent on Friday nights at the casino, sometimes we come out ahead a few hundred bucks. But we do get free rooms and stuff like that.

Quite big, as SRO costs a shitload to play
I remember I used to cash up between $50-70 each month

OT: I don't gamble, but I won ~$800 on a slotmachine-game on my cellphone... Yeah, I was bored when I played that game.

Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker.

Which table? The poker table?
Re: Gambling
In "Confessions of a Winning Poker Player," Jack King said, "Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career." It seems true to me, cause walking in here, I can hardly remember how I built my bankroll, but I can't stop thinking of how I lost it.
