hasnt anyone heard of APPLOCALE? just run that and search for silkroad.exe and under language settings click the 2nd chinese one (2nd on in parenthesis near bottoM) and presto

TEMPORARY SOLUTION (since i dont wanna find where i got applocale for my Vista)

easy 3 step solution to applocale (it is built in to Vista)

Warning : This changes the Language in which programs are installed and ran (However it will not change your computer language) make sure you have installed the language you need for the locale from Windows Update before changing your locale.

Step 1. Get to Control Panel and click on “Regional and language options” or (if on Category view) “Clock Language and Region” and then “Regional and language options”.

Step 2. Click on administrative tab in the Regional settings.

Step 3. choose your Locale.

Edit: ****! Getting the sro_client damaged - now I have to run the update as adminstrator and then it works. Damn me 2% again.

Edit: Old media.pk2 won't work also..

UAC= User Account Control fro Vista, If its turned off you dont have to run everything as administrator (although you should) AND YOU CANT GET VIRUSES WITH IT OFF (Just look at XP does that have UAC, No? didnt think so)

Oh God, another big update. I want to play but I have to wait till the weekend. Thanks for the guide for playing on tw instead of the squares. I'll try it once I can play (it looks sexy although I don't understand lol)

hey mango, u got the full chinese pk2?, the applocale doesnt translate all of it
edit:maybe i should get the english pk2 instead , but chinese works too
edit2: i got full chinese, i picked wrong language for qpplocale, but now it works

Fcking stupid. After the update, i get the same farking message i used to get before, "Update temp-file is damaged. Please try again."

And thats after replacing the taiwanese sro_client with the new sro_client btw -.-''
