Well hey, have fun paying out the ass for an "advantage" that's all in your head. Your mouse can be the most accurate in the world and you'll still get f*cked by latency.[/quote]

Made me lol.
There actually is advantage. For example you play MMO's and you don't feel like getting better mouse.
Every mouse has it's DPI/Hz, usual mouses got around 400 - 600 DPI, and pro gaming mouses has 1600 - 2200. There actually is FPS on mouses, for example "XAI" mouse has 12k fps in it. By the way, whats the point playing in shitty servers with high latency? I quit if my ping is more than 30, after all no one force you to play in servers with high latence

Buying the best and most expensive paintbrushes doesn't make you a good painter.

"Ultimate advantage in FPS games" is just bullshit IMO.

You're totally wrong.
I've got razer DA, and my gaming suddenly changed (into better way), because gaming mice made for comfort.
Yes, they cost alot but it's better to have expensive good item instead of cheap and shitty

Depending on the mouse, there is an advantage. Try playing any FPS with my old crappy mouse. Good luck turning around fast enough to shoot someone behind you or sometimes even standing still. I remember when my friend had a really shitty mouse, he would turn and his character would just start spinning out of control. My mouse would just get stuck. Hear a noise, turn, than realize you only turned a whopping 10 degrees instead of the 180 you were aiming for.

I only paid 30 bucks for the MX518 so it's about the same price as an avg mouse. Obviously latency will screw anyone over. That's like saying it doesn't matter if you have the best computer in the world, you still can't play when the servers are down. No shit Sherlock, but that's not why we're saying a good computer will help you play with less lag.

They're called twitch shooters for a reason.

Up? Turn it down, I use almost no sensitivity when playing CS. Also, disable mouse acceleration, no reason to have it on.

Also, just sit up straight and move your mouse (and keyboard) to the edge of the table so the bone right under your hand is the pivot point, never had any trouble clicking accurately when I do that and I use a mediocre mouse.

That's what I do too. But when you move your mouse a foot to the right in is very short time span, it will not track it; this is especially true with laser mice. They can track more accurately but have problems with quick movements.

I can't use mediocre mice to FPS, it just doesn't work. It's not a question of having an advantage, it's a question of when I move my mouse to shoot, my crosshair doesn't move.

Never had a problem with it not tracking, everything has issues of not tracking right. Know some mice are picky as hell on the surface its on, i play majorly FPS and always do well on it, shots are always fast and where i need to put the rounds. I play tactical where i need to be accurate, cant just spray in a general area.

To OP I dont think the Mamba looks that good, has too much of a camel toe look.

I agree with a lot of people here tho about the Razer Deathadderm also looking into Logitech is a good idea, i think its worth the extra bucks

Well, you're causing the problem by using excessively low sensitivities on a twitch shooter. I usually have mine set on 5-7 for Source games. And mouse acceleration is bad, yes.

You guys might as well run in a 500 yard dash with broken legs.

Back when I played Unreal Tournament there was just no way you could get anything done with low sensitivity. It could be why I don't see the point of using it, but then UT is a game where you are constantly looking and shooting everywhere.
