so whats your point? By the way your posting it seems like your saying that its a driver's fault for driving at the speed limit and for causing the tailgater's road rage?

Wth is up with people taking "practice" driving lessons? I just went out there and got 'er done.

Also, I hate it when people go the speed limit. Going 5 miles over the speed limit has never hurt anything. No cop is going to pull you over. And normally when you spend so much time making sure that you don't go over the speed limit you end up going 2-3 miles under it, which is just that much more annoying.

I dislike people who don't drive what they're allowed to drive when it's possible.

If you can drive 70 km/h, don't drive 60. It's not fun, but I won't tailgate either. I'll just pass them as soon as I can.

You kidding?

Situation 1: You're going down a road, 5-10mph over the limit. Cop car is coming the other way. He thinks 'this guy is surely going slightly over the speed limit', so he suddenly does a U-Turn and chases after you. Yeah, very likely.

Situation 2: You're going down a road, you notice a cop car behind you. Your not going to go over the speed limit at all then, cause its just risky and not worth it. If you dont notice a cop car from miles away then your a crap driver anyway, and shouldnt be allowed on the road.

Situation 3: Your in a speed camera zone. People dont tailgate around areas like this anyway, unless your an idiot and going far too low, (a lot of people go 60 in a 70mph zone etc.. cause they cant drive). Most countries allow you to go at least 10% above the speed limit anyway, due to speedometers often being inaccurate.

So yeah.. your wrong.

(also addressed to Jstar, who is also wrong.. but i cant be assed to quote you aswell)

no no no u dont understand here in rural america which is like mid-west with low crime rate they have nothing to do and they need to get an income somehow so they give more tickets to people going over the speed limit depending on the cop and area but unlike cali all the people there i knew of got tickets going like 20 miles over lol :p but ya maybe not 5 mph but it can be close to 5mph lol

What do you want to know about it?
pretty easy to do imo,
shifting a bike is basically moving a lever up or a down with your left foot.
this is the shifting pattern on most bikes
* 6th gear (assumming your bike has one.)
* 5th gear
* 4th gear
* 3rd gear
* 2nd gear
* NEUTRAL
* 1st gear

Engage the clutch, press the shifter down to first gear, release the clutch slowly, and start to feel the motorcycle move forward. Twisting the throttle slightly might be needed to keep it from stalling; as the bike gains forward momentum, put both feet up on the pegs.

Lol every 5 secs? Only do it when you want to change lane or direction >.< It'll distract you from driving if you look over your shoulder every 5 secs xD

Well kinda.

When i was learning i tried to make sure that i always knew what car was behind me. Whoever was with me would ask every so often what the car was behind me.. and if i didnt know, i would make sure to look more often the rest of the time.

You don't have to check blind spots every 5 seconds when you're not turning/switching lanes. But you should check the back and left mirror if you're speeding/slowing. If you're speeding somebody could already be trying to get past you and you are not allowed to speed in that case. As for the slowing, anyone behind you could bump into you if you stop/slow down imediately.

If you're a girl, don't worry about that.

Just park the car as you see fit. If people give you a weird stare, give them a cute smile and they'll be like "Oh, it's a woman, that explains."

I have to start the lessons in few weeks, and reading this thread i got scared as hell.
actually i do not know anything about driving, here in italy 99% of the cars are manuals and it makes me frightned much more, since none of my parents wanna let me drive a bit before starting.

Easy to pass the license test. It's hard/stressful to keep your insurance from going up after you have your license.

I recently aced my theory, and acquired pretty good manual driving in deserted roads without my license.

I recently took some lessons on a automatic, which were simple...

Today my mom took me by surprise and told me to drive on the high way with her car.

Volkswagen Rabbit 2009 2.5L 5Cylinder

Almost a racing clutch to me... (Yes it is a manual)

So I took the drivers seat, and took on the high way. Gotta love the adrenaline rush... but my advice becareful, if you have experienced difficulties in controlling a rush, better wait...

I don't have that issue, since I can control the rush, yet not the stress since ofcourse it was my first time on the highway...

My best advice to ANY driver wether your 16 or 50 with 30 - 35 years of experience in driving, never NEVER think you are the best. Thats when you will crash.

If you, after a couple years of driving, don't feel any stress at all, thats the time when you need to stop driving. Not because your good or what not. Its because you think your so good, that you become a danger to the rest.

Stay vigilant, take deep breaths, always keep an eye in your rear view mirrors.

Forget the retards honking at you...

Be safe! Driving is dangerous if your not careful ;-)

I would say...

For someone who just finished his theory test, and has just driven on the highway, I would put credibility into question. Or rather, qualification on giving advice.
