What would the other parrot say is the door to hell?

Truth parrot - Know's other parrot will lie, so points to heavens door.
Lieing parrot - Know's other parrot will tell the truth, but lies about the answer so points to heavens door.

Also could ask what the other parrot would say is the door to heaven, but then you'll have to pick the door neither choose.

This problem is more targeted towards people with Computer Science or similar backgrounds, it is a REAL question from an interview with Microsoft.

You have an array of 99 unique numbers from 0-100. What is the fastest (in computing) way to find the number between 0 and 100 that is not in the array?

This is just my guess
First we need to calculate the sum of numbers 0->100. Then calculate the sum of array. Do the subtraction to deduce the number missing.

This is just my guess

That was a long detailed way to say "add them up" but you are correct.

According to a website I got this question from, it is an interview question Microsoft uses for potential new hires. Most people think about search algorithms when trying to find an answer, but those are too slow.

I dont know was this posted before, but I'll give it a shot.
Anyhow, four people are captured and buried in ground with their heads on surface.
Each one can look in front of them, and they cannot comunicate with each other, nor turn their heads.
They have hats on their heads colored white or black, and they know that there are 4 people, and 2 black/white hats.
Their objective is to tell what kind of hat they are wearing (they cannot see it).
They have only one chance to tell that, and if they fail, they all get killed.



Tips to make this clearer:
Person A cannot see anything, only wall.
Person B cannot see anything either, only wall.
Person C can see person B.
Person D can see both person C and B.


Who will do it, and why?

C will answer. He knows that B is wearing a white hat, but can't see anyone else. If C was also wearing a white hat, then D would know for sure that D had a black hat, but since D isn't saying anything, C knows that he must not have a white hat, and thus has a black hat.

At first I was thinking have one of them tilt their head to the side (like A) lol, but figured there had to be another way. Took a long time :/
