Questions Thread

Post by RogueKiller »

Thread for ingame questions, such as how to do this or that. Small questions related to the game that don't really need a new thread.

Couple questions about espers...
How do you level the esper skills?
Are there any qualities from bloodsmelting above Heavenly? I get mine to heavenly and stop because it doesn't seem to go anywhere afterward.

Feel free to ask your own questions on what certain item does or what not... Hopefully someone will answer.

esper skills, no idea. i've been wondering the same.

bloodsmelt after heavenly is divined.

when bloodsmelting, growth increases. that means that
if it's divined, attack will raise higher than when
it's not bloodsmelted. so a lvl 15 esper that's been
bloodsmelted at lvl 1 will have higher attack (and
maybe other stats idk) than a non bloodsmelted one.

^ thats what i heard. correct me if i'm wrong.

Cin's right.
And also, if you get trigrams with orange stats, you can make your esper "absorp" them, specialising bloodmsmelting.
Like, making your espers attack increase a hugee amount every level, while the rest doesnt increase that much :)

I shouln't tell you since you like boxxy, but yea.
Esper mythic sells trigrams, and you can smelt as many as you like, medium makes sure outcome stays the esper you have atm.

and here's a guide =] --> http://jd-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=53041

wdf, you can refine/imbue esper tome/acc?

btw, that bloodsmelting guide is a bunch of gibberish. it's hard to follow, not really detailed at all.

but i did find those by one of the posters that cleared up the "specializing" part:

About medium, there are two types:
1. Esper-specific medium: These can be traded from Tonni with a Treasure Bowl. Each esper has one corresponding specific medium only.

2. General medium: Ying-yang flag, Best Dragon Skin are the two most popular examples. They are used to transfer the orange attribute from the source esper to the main esper. They can be acquired randomly through opening Chest quest from Metaphysician at Skysong and higher maps (same way to get treasure bowl).

Also anything can be bought at the trading realm

this really cleared up the difference b/w the two now since it was never really stated in the guide itself.

@ Azn,

I dint think the guide was bullshit at all xD i understand bloodsmelting as good as completly now.
The Ying-yang flags and best dragon skin are just to absorb orange stats from your trigram into your esper.
You'll need the treasure bowls anyway if you want to get your esper to be legendary / divine for as far as i know.

the guy who responded there probs called those specific coz the mediums only make sure the result of the bloodsmelt is 1 specific esper, thus it can only be used with the esper that goes with that medium.
The best dragon skin for example can be used for any 75+ esper, to absorb the orange stats.

In the guide the guy ment specific bloodsmelting as in - get your esper to take over a lot of a specific stat, for example- make it get a lot higher attack every time it levels (and less for the other stats).
The general stuff was just to get it to legendary/divine fast, so all stats would get relatively a lot better every time your esper levels.
Correct me if im wrong ^^

hey, i'm not sure about the imbue but you can buy these like espora stones from esper mystic to refine your acc/tomes
cost 15g and imho not worth it, although i wasted 30g to refine mine to +1 XD

Considering just spending $20 and getting a mount. Do all mounts have the ability to fly?

Yeah... Just get a skyblade instead... They are $20 also and they are faster than mounts if you don't use the auto routing system.

Some questions regarding the Esper and such.

-So in some leveling guide a person said not to pick up crafting material. How do you know what crafting materials the monster drops? (To put it in "Do Not Pick Up")

-Is it wise to use the "Level 1-25 in less than 2 hours guide", or just do quests? (Where Heavy Blow has to be leveled to 6)

-In the leveling guide they don't use the Esper skill, so the Esper won't level up. Can that still be effectively done after lets say level 30 orso?

Well, that were my burning questions. :)

check your inventory after you picked up the craft mats.
put that in your do not pick up list

-Is it wise to use the "Level 1-25 in less than 2 hours guide", or just do quests? (Where Heavy Blow has to be leveled to 6)
i can plvl you from 1 to 25 in like 15 minutes lol. best
way to do it yourself is by buying the lvl 1 esper for 10s,
then handgrinding some mobs till you get some energy to esper.
then set your esper and go afk (with 8hr buffs and double xp
time ofcourse). you be lvl 25 in no time.

-In the leveling guide they don't use the Esper skill, so the Esper won't level up. Can that still be effectively done after lets say level 30 orso?
yes. basically you can grind everything without skills. it
just takes a little bit longer. they don't use esper skills
because esper skills use mp. so it's just a way of saving pots.

Well, that were my burning questions. :)

I disagree with not using esper skills. They level your esper much faster when you use them and they are much lower SP cost than most other skills (For me anyways).
Everything else, like cin said.

it's the only thing that levels your esper
other than the stones you buy from item mall lol.
he said it was about a guide to quickly get to a
certain level, and i think not having to move back
to town for sp pots helps with that ;] i don't see
any other reason to not use your esper's skills.

Thanks for the answers cin and RogueKiller.

Though I still have some questions. :)

-Should I just sell the Provisions to the NPC?
-I've got 2 Espers now. Should I level them both?

Rean wrote:Thanks for the answers cin and RogueKiller.

-Should I just sell the Provisions to the NPC?
you can use provisions to donate to your faction npc for
honor (you can get gear that way or honor gems whatever),
you can donate provisions to your alliance to increase the
alliance's construction, or you can sell them for money.
however, below lvl 60, provisions don't really function as
much of a money maker because they're not worth that much.

provisions are also used to upgrade the Shared Fortune clan
buff. the lower level the buff is, the lower level provisions
you have to donate.

-I've got 2 Espers now. Should I level them both?
just level 1 esper. you probably have the lvl 1 esper and
the lvl 15 esper. the level 15 esper is more powerful (obv.)
but drains more mana. unless you turn off the esper skill and
grind with basic attack. i used the lvl 1 esper till lvl 75
but that's because i npced my lvl 15 one and didn't bother to
get a new <_<.
