Would you ever do something like this? Or how would you feel if someone did this to you?

first of all this is just stupid . i mean why does pennies still exist :?
secondly those guys are jerks with nothing to do in their lives (yeah i know i'm not cool or a repel or w/e) but they have been hassling the poor girl who has a sucking job behind a desk for 8 hours a day . not to mention wasting the time of 7 cops when they can be saving someones life in this time . . .

Reminds me of this guy here. His wife divorced him and the judge made him pay quite a bit to her. He owned a carwash, several, so the day he was suppose to pay he carted in every bit of it in quarters, judge got so pissed at him for it. Ordered him to get it changed...doesn't work really.

I laughed. No need for so many polices, one would be enough, but she was really being a douchebag if there's no rule against it.

Why is something wrong, taboo, or weird just because no one does it? The guys are right, legally. Just because no one does it (pay for something in pennies) doesnt make it wrong. Sure, the guy is just making life harder for the girl, but she still has to accept it.

Didn't watch the whole video, but if it ends up as I think it will (based on what I did see and the comments here) Then I would have rejected it too. It's annoying enough when a customer pays for a few dollars worth of stuff in quarters, but if I ever had a customer come up to me and try paying more than a dollar or so in pennies, I would get management and see if I even have to do it. For one, it takes a lot of time, time I could be using to help other customers that actually need it. Two, it's just a huge pain in the ass. Three, it's easy enough to get the bank to change it all to dollar bills, they have machines for that.

How puerile. He had to walk 15 miles home because he didn't bother checking if his car was parked legally. Of course, this was a GrEaT iNjUsTIcE!11!!!! HE MUST RETALIATE!! How about by making some receptionist who didn't have anything to do with his poor decision COUNT OUT 8800 PeNnIeS?!?!!? I wonder if that's how his 12 year old mindset processed what happened. The only person at fault here is himself.

Oh and what is up with him reiterating "pure legal tender"...? It's as if he just learned about legal tender in college and doesn't really quite grasp the concept, but he wants to make it appear like he does.

8.8k pennies is nothing. Once in my country a man paid a fine of 8k LTL, that equals 800000 pennies or was it 20k.. i dun remmber but it was full truck of them :)

What's so bad about counting 8,800 pennies. She probably hates her job anyways, so this keeps her busy and she doesn't have to sit on her ass and wonder what to do. The fact that she refused to take the pennies, even after the cops told her she had to shows she's just a puta.

What's so bad about walking 15 miles? He probably doesn't exercise anyways, so this helps him stay fit and he won't have to sit on his ass and continue on a path to obesity. The fact that he decided to retaliate, even though it was his own fault, shows he's just a puto.

lol there's nothing horrifying about counting that many pennies, it's just tedious. Also, there was no reason for him to pay in such an unreasonable way--especially considering the fact that she had nothing to do with his car being towed.

The fact that he isn't an overweight individual leads me to believe that he does exercise. Also, if I had 8800 pennies I would be looking for something to use them on, why not an impound lot?

You're comparing being overweight and not wanting to exercise to not doing your job and refusing to take someones money? lulzfail. Also, she works for the company whom towed the guys car. So she actually does have something to do with it. If no one worked the payment portion of the job, then they wouldn't be financed to tow the cars. You sir, lost the internet :(

Exactly. What's the point of even having the penny as a part of our currency if we aren't allowed to use it.

Dur hur hur, I'm gonna get all my pennies together and throw em in the pond!! I will have the best luck evar :D

Stupid, that person at the counter had nothing to do with his car being towed. It is also obvious that he is playing a joke, I can't believe the cop is going along with it. If a customer did that to me I could call a manager and ask if I had to take it. Most likely they would suspend the transaction and the manager would end up counting them somewhere else. Pennies are worthless, they don't even work in a vending machine. Why do you we still have them?

It doesn't matter if it is a joke, refusing legal tender is a federal offense. The police were doing their job.

I hope you're joking. If you join any company, you'll hear a speech that says anything this company does, you do. Anything it's a part of, you're a part of. Called being a member of a team. And even if she didn't physically go out, tow the guys car, and wait for him to come get it, doesn't mean she had nothing to do with the car being towed. Now the guy being a dumbass and leaving his car somewhere where it would most likely get towed...that's not her fault.

I don't think that just because she works for a company she has anything to do with that. It is where she gets her paycheck from, she isn't slave. She didn't go find his car and call someone to tow it. If he wants revenge on someone he should find out who called.

I thought it was funny and some people need to lighten up.

It's a harmless way to "get back" at the jerks who towed your car.

lollllll. I wasn't serious about the "what's so bad about walking 15 miles". I thought the obvious use of your format would clue you in on that...

No. She has absolutely nothing to do with his own decision to park incorrectly or in a non parking zone. He needs to take responsibility for it. Based on your reasoning, I can only assume that you must be one of those people that thinks about suing a grocery clerk every time your ass gets chapped by some cheap toilet paper.

I give my pennies away! I only keep money with me to use for vending machines and pennies don't work for that. All of my money is on a plastic card lol
