The problem is about buying gold and sp farm. I have read here many topics and always when someone talks them then always someone will start complaining that he/she is a bot. We all know that there are 99% high level bots who will buy billions for sosuns and sox items. And then to be most powerful or what ever ...
So, i think that when player dont use any bot programs but will buy some gold because this is his/her only chance to buy sox items to lvl up normally. Why? Because when no sp farm done, then you must farm always. Without buying gold you soon turn into bot because leveling is slow and you never do pvp normally ( i have seen that in my server, when lvl 85 legits are now running using script). This will not help you much, because handgrinding is still very hard but it just makes you feel better. When such person buys gold, it cannot be detected as a bot, there is still very big difference. And when you dont buy that item you need, that will defenitely will buy a botter who doesnt need that as much as you do.....

Now about sp farm. We all know that this game needs huge amount of sp. In my server i know serveral players that let their chars to pfarm by bot at Ongs and then they started playing legitmly. I think they arent botters as well because it is still hard to lvl up.
And what is most important - we will forget the most important. The players that dont use bot are so few in iSRO, maybe 500 only.
So why we wining when he/she buys some amount gold or gets pfarmed? They still PLAY the game legitimly. I am sick of it when i saw a topic answer where someone starts wining about these 2 things althrough the player dont use bot.

Yes, buying gold and getting pfarmed buy a bot isnt allowed when we read JM rules. When creating account, there is under Terms of use first point:
1. Company shall use its best efforts to increase stability of the service and to find error in the system until termination of service.
That means that there shold be any bots in the server or massive bot ban. But it isnt. So when JM didnt hold his terms, why should we? My friend sent JM letter that he will not get in using sbot and send them *.jpg file where there was sbot logging in window and he asks to fix that. JM answer was that they are dealing with the new login system. W.T.F they are dealing with new sbot logging in system???

And what is most important, where there arent goldbots, playerbots and player goldbots the server, there is no need any to buy the little gold because others cannot buy then also. So its only JM fault

I love how quickly threads deteriorate on this forum. One post, all gone.

Aside from that, Titaan, several of these types of threads have been made, and honestly nothing comes from them. You get replies like "lol yeah we all know noob" and "COOL STORY BRO" as demonstrated above. Nothing will change, it's the sad truth.

Nobody is going to argue about the topic on hand, mainly because the average SRFer has the attention span of a loaf of bread. E.G. none.

I think it's combination of JM's laziness and that the problem in iSRO is so big now that any game company would find difficulty in trying to contain it.

About ppl who bots:
I knew a few ppl at Iris from this forum that plays soulful (I like it more than "legit"), the perfect example is TheKnight and his sister Tsuki and YES there are a lot more that are not here (in one of my post there were 2 screenshot, Artemys and Safira are true soulful players).

I think instead of swear at them we should teach them how fun it's to do trade runs or doing quest, hunting.

I've been alone til a few months ago and yes, the only friends that I've got IG were soulless (I was alone most of the time griding) but know what? they're now playing soulful with me. Instead of complaining all the time about the same thing I'm trying to teach them how fun is playing, die, res, die, win.
btw, I think they're playing soulful now because they saw me lvling faster than their bots.

They really don't know why they're lvling, they just want to be at higher lvls but they're just confused, bored, that's all... yes, at first I thought they were the main problem, I was a fool.

The real problem here is the ppl who has more than one char logged in to do STALLs, the ppl who has a personal GOLD BOT.

I just can't believe someone made a BARD/CLERIC to collect money when I was looking for one bard since the past few months.

About buying gold, there a lot of countries where you can't buy Silk... maybe that's the reason.

Yes, buying gold is bad. Very bad!

You don't NEED sox items to level up. Leveling does take a lot of time, true, but it is possible without sox. You can level with *gasp* an NPC non-pimped weapon. I've never purchased a single piece of gold, and I hand grinded a blader from lvl 1 all the way to lvl 54 with NO SILK and no power level. I did it all myself. It took probably 2 years, but I wasn't very active. Also, I actually earned enough gold to actually buy an SOS blade at lvl 32, 42, and 52. My lvl 16 SOS was from a drop at the bandits. I've grinded some of those levels with NPC until I could afford SOS mid way through a degree.

When such person buys gold, it cannot be detected as a bot, there is still very big difference. And when you dont buy that item you need, that will defenitely will buy a botter who doesnt need that as much as you do.....

Sure, buying gold != botting. Agreed. However, who are you buying gold from? Bots. Gold bots collect gold, you buy from the gold company, they have more reason to keep sending gold bots into our servers. If gold buyers would stop buying gold, there would be no need for gold bots. So in the end, I blame YOU (the gold buyers), not Joymax, for the gold bot problem.

It's not hard to level up, it just takes time. That's the way it should be. There are really only two differences between getting pfarmed by a bot and farming yourself by using a bot. 1.) pfarm by a bot is faster (hence the p = power), and 2.) with pfarm by bot, the bot software isn't running on your local computer. In the end, your SRO character is still getting its SP directly from the actions of bot software, even if the software is executing remotely. In the end, you've done nothing to actually earn that SP. You let a bot give it to you. You wasted server space for the rest of us.

It doesn't matter what the ratio is between botters and non-botters. If you buy gold or get pfarmed, it doesn't matter if you bot or not. The cons above still apply. Gold buying still helps destroy the game. If you're getting pfarmed, and 500 of your closest friends are as well, then there's that much less space on the map for me to grind by hand. So I guess I should hop on a horse and watch the SP fly too, instead of actually play my character?

It's Joymax's fault that players buy gold? I'm sorry, but I don't ever remember seeing a Joymax employee holding an SRO player at gunpoint making him visit a gold site to make a purchase. People buy gold because they want to, not because Joymax made them do it.

I agree and disagree with the OP. I definitely understand when a non botting player buys gold to get better gear and stuff. But when they do so they give gold bot companies a reason to stay in the game and overcrowd it.

On the other hand if there were no players at all buying gold from these companies, these bots would still be there because I've seen gold bot spammers advertising the sales of SOX items. There were many instances where we all have bought something that was being sold by a gold bot. So this situation about gold buying being bad seems like a moot point.

As for being power leveled by a bot but planning on playing legitimately...You ARE in this case knowingly benefiting from, and being an accomplice in breaking joymax TOS. Yes I know joymax is an a**whipe and they don't follow their own TOS, but it seems we're abandoned and its up to us to not let it get any worse. But that is just a pipe dream on my part. People will do anything for their benefit if no one (JM) isn't going to stop them. Again, like in a lot of my posts I blame JM.

Well it's not just gold that people need to stop buying. If everyone stopped giving real cash to gold companies for anything at all, the gold companies would have no reason to stay in the game. We can all buy tons of SOX and other items from their stall bots until the cows come home, but as long as the gold we spend was earned legitly, the gold companies aren't making any profit, and the gold bots would still go away.

Did I mention the lvl 54 blader was on Venice? I know it's not a "high level" but it's high enough. I've also been around plenty of high levels to see how they complain, etc, and I've been on a lvl 84 on Gaia. I don't necessarily have to experience a high level to know a little about it. The higher you go, the longer it takes to level. Regardless, buying gold is bad, and it's not Joymax's fault if you buy gold. It is your fault.

i understand what your saying about power farming and power leveling, im fine with people getting this as long as they dont bot to get it done eg alt characters (the person farming them can bot or what ever).

i disagree with buying gold because it supports gold bot which are the reason this game is so crowed and dieing if thier was no goldbots this game would be fine.
