No new players?

Post by Lakha »

I was just thinking how could joymax gain new players? For example a new player downloads game and starts it up, puts user name and password thinking oh boy I'm about to play the game, waits 20mins at loggin screen then exits and deletes game. Why would anyone even wait, sometimes it may even takes hours to logg in, I bet joymax isn't even getting 1 new player per day, unless some new player gets lucky and loggs first try, but most likely he will quit in under a week because he cant loggin. So is joymax just like a closed game? No new players? More and more ppl are quitting this game for Aion. What is wrong with joymax, are they really that stupid? I can not even put into words how dumb joymax must be :banghead:

Obviously they hardly get new players, and the new ones that do join do so because friends are also playing and they liked what they saw or something. can't really think of another reason :P
If time is money, how rich are the people that dont have time? ^_^

A friend telling a friend to play sro is like saying come to this game waste 90% of the time logging in and 9% of the time learning stuff and 1% time of playing.

No, if it's a new account you log in instantly.
Or at least it was like that 2 months ago.

And you've lot of proofs of it at Const.

Good question....I don't know how they would gain new players with the amount of so called "server traffic" they have. I have no clue on how they are making money. It seems its only from veterans like myself that they are able to still be in business. It might be possible that the new login system was made to address this issue. When I am in jangan I rarely see a low lvl grinding on manyangs without a name like adfsfsf.

Even so, if this isn't currently implemented, it should be. They should give brand new accounts, that have not been logged into before, preferred access for their first login.

More like their first 100. When I first start playing I played for an hour or so then logged off. This was back when you could actually log in in 1 try in 2007.

They rarely get any new players. You'll be surprised how man characters some people have. All the ppl getting farmed at ongs are like 95% old players making a new character.

Yet, people still believe that Joymax causes server traffic on purpose in order to gain more money. Sorry, but I call bullshit. They are losing money by discouraging potential customers and frustrating the average user. Not everyone is in the 1% that will waste their entire allowance, pay check, or play money on a game. Most people will not waste money on a game that they can not casually play.

You know it's bad when even hardcore botters quit a game that has basically let botting happen without showing any care. I for one refuse to pay for Isro till it is fixed.

And, yes, **** premium. I'll buy a premium when a server is filled with real players.

I don't think they gain more players. They fooled themself with the bot ban list and convince themself that the one that registered just after the ban is a new player.

Logging in is the game. They quit because they don't like the game.

but the few who waste huge sums of money into this shitty F2P game earn joymax a great deal of revenue.
the F2P biz model is very warped, and not to the advantage of the customer.
Alright, I'm playing for free. But there are so many issues stemming from that f2P model, it would deserve books or essays being written about it.
