Re: Stiches?
ok guys everything seems fine. I packed the damage full of neosporin and it's still a bit gooey but nothing out of the ordinary. I clean it twice a day like someone suggested (thanks) and i think it'll heal nicely with some scaring....but who doesn't like scars right!
thanks for the help guys <3

Re: Stiches?
Well, the time for stitches has passed buddy. You're supposed to get those like immediately, not the the next day. You don't need them, and you probably won't bleed to death (unless you nicked an artery, in which case, if you start feel dizzy as fuck call 911). How much blood is still coming out? If it's a lot and you can't get it to stop after applying 15 minutes of solid pressure to the area then you might want to consider visiting the ER. They HAVE to take you even without insurance. Dodge the bills maybe? Don't know what your credit score is, but collections is certainly better than the morgue.
Some things you can do:
1. you are not a professional, DO NOT USE GAUZE. If that shit heals into your wound you're gonna be in insane amounts of pain when you gotta rip it out. Trust me, I speak from experience.
2. Get some butterfly band aids, the ones that will help keep it closed.
3. betadyne is good, iodine, just don't let junk get into it. Keep it clean, you can rinse with soap and water.
4. neosporin and that stuff is fine
5. It's ok to clean it, but you want it to be dry most of the time so it can heal itself.
WARNING SIGNS THAT YOU'RE IN DEEP SHIT:
red streaks around the outside of the wound, or going up or down your leg (sepsis)
fever
dizziness
elevated heart rate
tightening of muscles (tetanus)
losing feeling in the area around the wound
yellow or green puss in or around the wound
When was your last tetanus shot anyway?

Re: Stiches?
I don't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days, then doesnt die. So right now I still trust you. After 4 more days, go see a doctor if it hasnt stopped.
