If your going down that career path I suggest you take it to the next level and get a graduate degree in criminal law or something related to that. That way you can get employed by the government, work with the CIA, or even end up at an American embassy. Now thats badass

I picked this major because it's what I enjoy, not the pay. Althought the pay can be quite good. I'm a Junior, but due to transferring it'll take 2.5 more years for me to get my BS. Then I'll go to grad school.

Because of the economy, i would recommend nursing for all the young grasshoppers that want a stable job. Engineering is very unstable especially the economy is down.

SFA = Stephen F Austin? yes, i graduated from UTA. A&M is a very good engineering school for both undergrad and grad studies. Even though i dont like aggies. lol

I'm probably going to do International Relations or Political Science and then go for a major in International Relations & Diplomacy. Then try to get in "het Diplomatenklasje" (The diplomat's class) and try to get a job as a diplomat (I know you don't start out as one, but as end goal).
Though the chances are extremely slim I'll get in the master or diplomat class. But you have to try.

Yeah, there were TONS of nurses there. I actually went there to do EE, but after awhile figured out I liked the software side better, so I'm doing CS instead. Tyler is near my home town so it was mainly to get a feel for college before I (planned) to transfer to A&M, but figured I couldn't afford it. Went to the CC in College station thinking maybe I would just wait one more year then transfer, changed my mind again. So now Im at SFA lol.

You should try UTA, its pretty cheap there and the engineering school is big. The school is also closer to your home.

Im gonna study english in university, and i prefer languages or history much more than math or anything else on the list.
But Law is great as well although as i look, studying costs 26k per year in NYC

Chem Degree

Allows you several options: Medicine (pretty much any aspect, you don't need to major in Bio. In fact most schools look at Chem as more important than Bio since Chem is HOW Bio works.), Research (independent, private, commercial), Law (patent law), Education, Technical Writing, Law "Enforcement" (forensics), FDA, Engineering (might require you to become a Chem E.) etc, etc.

So yeah, anyone who said that you are limited to what you can do with a Chem degree would be incorrect. Personally, I'm a pharmacist.

I can't say that I've ever considered engineering as an alternative, even though it's probably the most logical route. Statistics is just really intuitive for me (it's mind numbingly boring though). Plus, I figure if I'm going to sellout, it might as well be in something easy that earns a lot of money.
