I was always taught growing up that you really just need to tell Jesus that you believe in him as your savior and be sorry for your sins and you'll go to heaven, something like that. After some years living together, if they don't divorce, this 'love' become less hotter. I can tell you that in developed country such as US, France and many country in Europe, the number of couple divorce is very high, compare to poor country in everywhere in the world. Why is that? It's because of the pressure of life. Too concentrate on working, making money, and everyone want things as best as possible... but in exchange of that, they lose the essence of love. Ppl have no idea why they love each other and why they come to each other.
Why after years they don't love anymore? Because when they began to love, this love is based on hormone,chemical reaction of the body. But because human body change through time, this is not a stable way to love. Ppl can't find for their own a definition of love that is everlasting.

Anyway, when you really love someone, you need to convince yourself that you don't approach your partner because of his credit card, his face, her boobs, her ass. The beauty, the power, the richness, ... are fog which blurred the essence of love. Truely love someone meaning love both his good and bad personality, not not just the good face, like lots lots of ppl usually do.

See, that's what you do when you love someone who you are with. When they are down on their game (lost job, bad health, alcohol addiction, or whatever other 'fixable' thing that may happen) you try to help them, don't just leave them for someone "better."

Silo talks about people first meeting and falling in love, and then losing some of that love over time... so therefore they're "not really in love". Well personally I think that's normal. It doesn't mean you love the person any less. It just means you're getting to know that person more, and finding things you may not like as much about the other person as you once thought you did. That doesn't mean you love them any less. You love someone "even though they..." not "because they..."

In other words, you love the one you're with even though she drops the "f-bomb" way too much, or even though he picks his nose in public, or even though she yells at you about hanging out with the guys "too much." You don't (or shouldn't) just love someone because they have a big bank account and buy you expensive jewelry, or because the person has an expensive car.
