This thread isn't questioning your rights and freedoms to do whatever you want to do. So I don't know what the retard that posted this was thinking. This thread is talking about the bare faced lies (95% of the time) being told to us by nearly every member that blurred out his/her screen shot.

I'm not sayin that they should come out and tell the truth and then get banned...But if you're using illegal programs why bother come here and post a screen shot glorifying your accomplishments and stating that the reason why u blocked out your info is because you want to remain anonymous. Ya right....you want to remain anonymous in a game where u want to make friends and quite possibly leave your mark for being one of the best players of SRO...thats a nice story.

Add up the amount of active people on SRF and take 1/36th (36 severs I think)of that total and those are the people whom you're truly trying to "supposedly" remain anonymous from because they are the only few thats from the same server as you. That weakens further your claims. Not to mention that there is rev6 available so why bother hide it here.

1-They won't associate your forum name with your IGN
2-Rev6 doesn't show EVERYTHING (for example, something he caught but can't use)
3-People usually just search for people in rev6 when they pvp them, so if that person doesn't pvp much he won't be searched for as often as others.

4-Maybe before all this EB thing most topics weren't derailed all the time with accusations of zoom hack / lack of yellow boxes and topics actually were useful... Most of the old guides were made by people who get banned... Yet a lot of legits seem to have liked / used those guides...

I, and every other member of this forum has the right to hide any information about their selves that they want to. You can't take away someones rights just because you think you have a reason to justify it.
I agree that most people that post screenshots with blurred names do have something to hide; nevertheless there's nothing anyone can do about that, not even the mods. (technically, as again the servers are based in the US.. and if someone were to sue them (lol, that's likely huh) the court would probably laugh at first, but then well.. there might actually be something to it.)

I'm not sure if you realize it or not, but SRF is kind of in it's own "bubble" so to speak. What I mean is, they are one of the last forums who actually care about people botting in iSRO. So the person who uses illegal programs and decides to post a screenshot probably doesn't even feel like it should be any less glorified of an accomplishment as 99.9% of the other players are doing the same thing as him. That's why some new people post their accomplishments without editing their screenshots, and get banned because something is showing. And why some of the older members edit their screenshots, to not get banned. But there are also those who just want to remain anonymous, and that is their choice; and again there's nothing that can be done about that.

The United States Bill of Rights has no enforcement whatsoever over an online video game. Unless the game violates the immediate rights of the American citizen.

You play within the game and everyone is allowed to see your name. If amendment 4 & 5 had any legal authority over MMORPGs then it would be demanded by law of the United States for games to have an option to hide your name in-game.

The SRF staff are the government of these forums. They have to abide by US laws put in front of them as the site is hosted in the US.
