Well if you would use a proper setup ircd with proper services. And also the mods/admins of this site should be granted irc rights to keep the chat clean. THEN it would be a nice chat. Now? Nah it sucks. Set it up properly or let me do it for you :p

We are working on that too. On the server side.
Right now, the java applet is whats failing, after the server move (unless it was magically fixed in the last 24 hours)

I would request that you change it to not be an applet anymore 
there are better chat programs out there. my computer is terrible with applets...

The applet is for convenience and for those not so familiar with irc. From what I can understand, you can connect to the SRF chat with any irc interface.

yeah but my computer can't work with applets well, not even simple programs i've made myself, they work fine but it takes 30 minutes to load and process. (whereas the same coding works fine on others computers)

lol GutGrinder is my ircbot. It auto replied on some words. Ill let it come back if Ryoko lets me setup a good ircd for SRF so SRF has its own server

That might not work, since were forcing SRF users to use their username and password to authenticate themselves.
