Taking up Prot would give more Def Increase or Taking Up Ice Mastery?

What I meant was, If I am a lvl 100 FF Bow with Garment.
Would Prot give me more Phy Def Increase or taking up ICE Mastery.

Ice would. Passive is 178 and buff is 158. That's 336 more phys def. Prot doesn't even come close.

If u got a 100 Full strong , up 20 lvl of ice , and use Garment ^^.

Imo, if you want extra phy defence you should use garment and have 80 light, 20 cold. That wil give you a small amount of phy def and 20% snow shield.

But lets face it, you will be a typical 94+ bowman and spam knockback, so who cares about a little extra phy defense, honestly?

You cant stand a chance against int chars, unless your head chest legs are sun. Garment is better choice. if you think that you wont use phantom/shadow skillz on light, then cold instead of light is better choice.

ice is by far but if its a choice between ice or prot it has to be prot. u can change to prot any time u want. you cant change a mastery when ever u want...

ur are dead wrong my friend, I have lvl98-100 prot set, I don't even need snow shield vs nukers, regular pots+vigors work fine, even str with garment use vigors vs nukers so i don't see the problem, at least have proof before making blunt statements, they don't even come close, so im sure a lvl 96 chest/legs works just as fine, pure str+vigors+pills=kills all int. jewels is ur best defense vs nukers, test it urself,
prot, will give better defense then max ice, ice gives pure phy. def, if you factor prot phy. def and phy, reinforce, prot is better.

But, OT: I think the ice is better.. depending on the +"0" of the actuall prot set, not forgetting the infamous white stats...

That's what I do. I'm a pure INT archer. I don't have a shield. Arrow combos ARE my shield. Xbowers and wizards go down like trash. As for other builds, that's the only way I stay alive.

And bladers have KD...and Hueskal have extra hp passive...its the game guys deal with it...bowers dont have extra defense from shield or some kind of hp passive...its about time they got something worth while.. And that statement that guy made about the prot and dieing easily against int...that is so wrong my friend..im full prot and I pvped a lvl 100 a pure nuker with +7 s/s FF and garms +5 last tier...and I beat him. Firewall is your best friend Of course that was back when I was 96 with 94-96 gear... now i have a full blue +5 96-99 set..

Calm down, i was just saying how people overuse the skill.. If people had a brain and didnt spam KB and actually attack.. Because spamming knockback on a say glavier.. wont even touch his HP.. whilst your dieing.. Silly.. because the glavier will keep comming and your keeping dieing.. use 1 or 2 knockbacks... then attack again.. Remember you need to kill your target as well..

Im one of those Xbowers,I can assure u its not the knockback that is a problem,its the Big Kaboom that comes after it.Str bower's aren't any prob for me either now imagine a Pure int archer

On Topic:Ice also has snow shield to consider.
