Hi Everyone, So I'm having the same problem as VeniVidiVici was saying before he edited their post. I try to make a log-in i get what appears to be a Error type of message , and it bounces me back and forth between the account info and personal info pages. Any help would be much appreciated

The trouble is, the original Chinese characters are translated to match the character map of the keys on your keyboard - thing is, there are many, many layouts of keyboard so somebody from the UK could see something quite different than someone from Romania, Germany etc. US keyboards have a similar layout to the UK with only a few differences, so chances are, they'd see pretty much the same.
Here's a comparison. On the left is the (Taiwan) Chinese characters, on the right the equivalent on an English UK keyboard.

I did the thingy in the CSRO thread which shows you how to make the Chinese characters show up in the game (choosing Taiwanese in the drop down, naturally), so I took these screenshots for comparison.
If in doubt, it might not be a bad idea for everyone to do this - it doesn't seem to affect your computer in any other way that I can see - so then you can just post an image of the Chinese characters of the server you're on, then we'll all know.
Just a thought...
By the way, I play on --->

Re: Join TSRO (Taiwan Sro)
Orang90 - your best bet is to do as I suggested in my last post. Go to one of the following links which takes you through the steps to change the gibberish on your screen from ???? to proper Chinese characters.
This way you have a fighting chance to understand what's going wrong when you try to update.
When you do it, instead of using the option for Chinese (PRC) the way the guide mentions, choose the Taiwan version of Chinese instead. (It may not make all that much diff but it makes sense to use Taiwan characters for a Taiwan game.) You'll only need to have your Windows disk handy to install it - no need to go looking for a download as stated in these posts, your disk should have the necessary language files. Mine did.
It takes only a couple of minutes to do.
This is the link for Vista users.
This is the link for XP users.
When you restart your computer, try to update the game again, but this time the pop up will be in Chinese characters.
Copy those characters and go Google's translate page and select Chinese to English in the drop down menus.
Paste what you've just copied and translate it. The translation may not be up to much but at least you'll now have some idea of what the problem is.
Good luck.

Good for you. Hope that works out for our problem laden friend up there. ^^
If not, it might be something peculiar to his setup in which case, it's back to translating Chinese, I'm afraid...

So what about rule #22? they have 25 rules. Number 22 states "...play the deignated version that fits your area. Taiwan people only" rough translation. Will we get banned for playing there?

Re: Join TSRO (Taiwan Sro)
Possibly. If you get caught.
Which is why you don't draw attention to yourself - like some other idiot that I came across a couple of days ago, yelling in the middle of Jangan for a GM to help him get silk cos he can't buy it since he's not in Taiwan...
I doubt if using a non-Chinese spelled name will be too suspect though as I've seen a fair few of those - but those players usually speak Chinese.
I'm sure if we keep a low profile nobody will notice the refugees who CAN'T "play the designated version that fits your area" because the gold bots have taken over OUR designated version and Joymax apparently doesn't give a damn, so long as they get their money somehow - even if the main thrust of their customer base is gold sellers who buy premium to make sure their bots get on to feed the cheats who keep them going with mummy and daddy's credit cards.
ISRO has got to be the world's first almost fully automated game...
Meh. It's mad that we're forced to do this sneaky stuff just to play a game we enjoy. But I'm damned if I'll give another penny to a company which seems to encourage gold selling companies to move in unopposed and swamp the servers at the expense of the actual players. So if others want to pay premium (and buy their illegal in-game gold) for a chance of logging on, fine. Their choice. But it won't be me. I've learned my lesson and have had to leave my item mall stuff and my LEGALLY earned currency behind because logging on to my server is apparently impossible.
Ridiculous situation. Hopefully the powers that be at TSRO will have some pity on us - but I'm not holding my breath so I'm being vewy, vewy kwiet in the meantime....
Sorry. End of rant.

That's because you're using a different keyboard layout. People from different countries have a different character map for their keyboards so the translation from Chinese characters to Latin characters will be different for every country's layout - see a post I made a couplea days ago about this very thing on the previous page.
