I've been playing wow for a while now, and I've even gotten level 76 now. My question still remains the same.
Why won't blizzard allow flying mounts in the classic areas? Wouldn't it be pretty cool flying above oggrimar? lol
Is there a reason behind this?
Still one question..

Re: Still one question..
From what I've heard Blizzard is slowly working on this in the background for a long time now. It would be a massive project to make this happen as they have to redo the entire old world, making borders, preventing glitches and getting stuck etc.
Ganking would be worse and it's kind of cool to have the big old world with unreachable places imo. Keeps you wondering
Griphon rides are the perfect moment to grab a drink aswell

I see.. that would bring more users on a massive level to this game. I was just thinking of it.

It takes about a week to get to outland with all the changes they've made to leveling, not like it would bring a ton more users in.
One big reason they don't allow it is because all the world graphics and textures were designed with just ground travel (and gryphon routes) in mind. So it'd look pretty silly to do right now. Outland and northrend were designed to be seen from both ground and air everywhere, not just limited routes where people fly.
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Re: Still one question..
Plus didn't the old world use a different coding language then Outland and Northrend?
Would mean they'd have to do the whole thing from scratch pretty much.

Nice find.
Guess what I heard was nothing but untrue rumors then.
