Yo kind of miss out on a lot if you don't watch the other seasons. So basicly, if you didn't like the first season, then your not going to like the rest. Although they have become more violent.

Its always fun to start watching shows late...cause then you get to watch them on dvd which is better.. sorry for going offtopic :P

Reading between the lines a bit....North Korea is about to enter a succession phase which they really haven't had to do since Kim Song Il, and there's a big split in the ruling elite about who should rule after Kim Jong Il bites it. North Korea is just trying to get everyone to back off while they sort things out. Authoritarian regimes act much like wounded animals in this respect. They gnarl their teeth, hiss, and make a whole lot of noise so you don't come anywhere near them while they're weak. Hopefully in the transition period they don't go overboard, some regimes use this time to murder political prisoners and terrorize the populace as well...

Honestly though, I don't see why the US hasn't just sent in Kiefer Sutherland to kill lil' kim.
It would only take him a couple of hours, twenty four at most.

Jack Bauer we need him to get the job done! Good show always watch it

They shouldn't be making threats like that, but they deserve to have nukes, if other countries can, its only fair that they can too.

"Punching their fists into the air and shouting "Let's crush them!" some 100,000 North Koreans packed Pyongyang's main square Thursday for an anti-U.S. rally as the communist regime promised a "fire shower of nuclear retaliation" for any American-led attack."

Well, instead of putting my 2 cents, I'm going to ask question because I know shit about this topic..

Do we 100% know they have a fully working nuke(s)?

Is it possible to shoot a nuke out of the air in time before it hits land, or multiple nukes?

How fast would we able to detect a nuke from the time it got launched and how fast to they travel?

I live in California and I don't want to die first. The Governator (Arnold) cannot protect us from Nuclear Missiles :(

No, we don't know it.

Yes, that's why anti-air missle system was invented.

How fast would we able to detect a nuke from the time it got launched and how fast to they travel?
Most probably when it hits the radar heights.

NK's nukes don't fly so far, even if they did.. They would be shot down on their way there.

True but a country like NK cannot fire off nukes without provoking other nations, and unlike a group of rebels in the mountians, NK is not hard to find if they were to use their nukes.

Yea actually, the intelligence community did see something coming before 9/11. They even warned the president an attack was in the works. Like I said before though, I'm relatively certain this has more to do with Korea's internal turmoil at the moment than them actually wanting to attack another country. They're waving a big ass stick around at us so we don't try anything stupid while their elite consolidates power. At least, that makes the most sense. Kim Jong Il and his military commanders didn't hold onto power this long by being completely irrational and devoid of strategic thinking.

They might think it was the U.S. and go to war which is exact opposite of what we want.

NK could just use their 6 nuclear bombs in their own country, then after a couple months radiation would be all over the earth...
the power of those bombs is about 10 times more than the first, old ones used on japan by the US, so QQ world, its not like human race was making it either anyways, the sooner we die the better for planet earth.

Nobody's gonna use any nukes.

It's possible to shoot the missiles down IIRC because nukes need to detonate a certain way for the fusion/fission/whatever to occur. If they destroy the warhead before the nuke has a chance to do that then it just turns into a pile of radioactive garbage.

Are you talking about missle to missile intercept? Isn't it still unproven though? I mean that's what star wars and our missle defense shield program have been trying (unsuccessfully) to accomplish isn't it? I could be totally wrong here, I don't keep up with military technology news, that's just what I remember reading. I know China shot down a satellite in orbit and that was like a huge deal because it's extremely difficult to target and hit a moving object like that.
