Does a second account get less time to play? I opened a second account and the green book says i only have 3 hours of exp ... instead of 5

AND they put the %50 time to 2 hours. . . .

so if seems their trying to squeeze more money out of people as they level to 100. . .

probably once people start getting to 100 they'll bring it back to 5 hrs so that the lower lvls can catch up.

its an intersting marketing plan to say the least. . .effective as making the rates 10x and having a pay system like ecsro does. . .probably not

I mean just imagine if the main isro servers did what ecsro does. . .AND limits time to 4 hours of "green" time a day then after that you get no exp period. that would totally rock, more people would come back, more people would buy their items more people would play, they could make more customizble items to sell to make your charater not look the same etc etc etc. . .

anyway hopefully esro can do some of that stuff, that would rock.

Lol I already gave up and removed all files relating to any silkroad software installed on my computer... and I'm now redownloading ISRO.... If I could have gotten to the damn registration site I would have been set... but no... it has to have some stupid error that prevented this.

I dont think i can join you, I still get the disconnect every 30 minutes to an hour bs with the eng pk2 and I rally dont want to play in viet.

I'm trying out Tsro (taiwan) sro right now and see if the situation is better there (i.e. staying online for more than an hour at a time)

There are only bots on vsro.

The only reason I stopped playing iSRO in the first place was because of the massive difficulty in connecting. But I returned to it a week ago, hoping against hope that things would have improved only to find that the F2P game had gone subscription only.

Yes, I know it's still advertised F2P but it seems that you only get connected if you have premium. I tried for hours on end. And I do mean hours...then wondered what the hell I was wasting my time on!

Yesterday I saw this thread and thought "why not". Couldn't hurt to give it a go.

I followed the guide to download and register - hit a snag when the registration screen was different but with the help of a sketchy translation from Google, worked out what to do, successfully registered and logged onto VSRO first time.

It's nice! Okay, the economy's a bit slow to start with and you can only do quests and grind for 5 hours a day which is a problem when you're starting afresh and need to get characters up to a level to take on a profession, but I can actually play again so I can deal with that. Besides, I suppose if you absolutely HAD to grind all day you could make another account and make a different sort of character on that so you could work on more than one per day.

Not sure if you're allowed to make more than one account, although I don't see why not. It's not uncommon to have multiple players on a home network. Oh well, it's just a thought. I'm not obsessing over the game so much where I'd need to do that.

But I have to say I'm liking it a lot! Specially since I found a media.pk2 file which also translates the NPC's chat for quests and stuff too. Any gaps in quests can be filled in by referencing the many, many quests lists online. At least I've got a reminder in English of which quest I'm on - that's all I need.

Takes me back to the days when I first played iSRO and when you could guarantee a F2P connection - even if you had to try a few times. But this is great. No crowded servers and latin characters so if there are other English speaking players, I could have a conversation.

Kudos to everyone who's played a part in making this possible, from the people who edited the media.pk2's to those who made the guides.

Okay I may have lost all my money, SOS weapons and my Item Mall stuff to iSRO but if you can't get onto play, they're lost anyway, right?

The international game's dead unless you're prepared to pump money into it - and with the amount of spam bots and gold bots taking the mobs, I'd be loathe to spend the proverbial penny on it.
