is lvling with a 5 lvl gap to 90 extremely hard lol

Yes it is lol, the fastest thing u could do is get pwfarmed at ong & then lvl to 90/100 with 0gap.
2nd fastest is farming at good spawn mobs & 0/1/2gap at the rest
then the slowest is 5gapping to 90/100 lulz
