This was from yesterday. The head cleric is going to speak out today. It probably happened already or is going to happen within the hour, its about 12:35 there now. The head cleric is for the protests and Reza Aslan pretty much said today that even if the head cleric tries to settle down the protests they could get bigger but we'll see.

Did you forget the past 8 years what with our president ignoring a good chunk of the constitution or the Florida Ballot incident that got him elected in the first place. This is not a bush rant btw he's just a very good example of dirty our politics are and how democracy always seems to come second when people people are terrified out of their minds, a coincidence maybe? These protest are extremely similar the protest in the US against the Vietnam War, and we used similar actions to quell them, opening fire on civilians.

Shot for no god damn reason. The comments people are leaving about it are pissing me off even more.
Facebook: Basij shoots to death a young woman in Tehran's Saturday June 20th protests At 19:05 June 20th Place: Karekar Ave., at the corner crossing Khosravi St. and Salehi st. A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victim's chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes. The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St. The film is shot by my friend who was standing beside me. Please let the world know.

Actually it wasn't cpr. i thought that too but they were all holding her chest trying to stop the blood. The video tape of the night home invasion is crazy. It doesn't show anything but you can hear car alarms going off and a lot of people screaming.

Just because they don't sell guns in Iran doesn't mean they do not have means of fighting back.
But the question is here, sure having Ahmadinejad not as president would be a good step, but the supreme ruler Khomeini is the problem here.

the one who controls the military is the one who needs to be overthrown, im not sure which one that is. Protesters can show support for the Iranian people but there should be NO intervention. By that i mean the US should not send in troops of any kind. Doctors maybe, if they want guns they can get them, they're cheap but we don't need another Iraq on our hands and this is clearly a civil conflict. No matter how many die, they've got legs, they'll get up and use em.
