I rented it and have it currently, curious if anyone else has played it yet what they think about it. I recorded gameplay so I'll try to throw something together soon dependin on time around my Job.

The in game cinematics are kinda blah, just the dialogue and so on. But I really am enjoying the gameplay itself. Loving the powers and upgrades to new moves and everything. Its a very interesting game so far.

I love the cut scenes..games great. To bad it cost me 78$ canadian..Just because of that I'll say it wasn't worth it because pirating it for PC well.. =.=

Regardless..really fun game.

Well it was little bits of the cinematics that were just kinda blah to me dialogue wise. But over all I definately wouldnt say it should stop anyone from playing it or trying it. I love the speed you can run and even just running around the city is fun with the abilities you unlock.

There are also side missions you can do around the main storyline, like races between waypoints and depending on your time you're awarded EP (Evolution points to spend on upgrades).

Unlocking abilities is available anytime you pause the game, dont need to go somewhere for them. And the abilities themself are pretty interesting.

Some game site said the story sucked and the cutscene's too. The town was not that detailed and there were only like 4 different pedestrians (probs more but not too many).

I'm still going to get it sometime I think, I don't care about a story or graphics (ok they can't suck too bad xD) as long as it's great action.

The pros

-Fun to jump/fly/run around city caring about nothing in your way
-lots of cut scenes if you're into a story line
-fun skills and fighting
-you can consume people?

the cons-

-graphics could be a little better, was expecting more on my PS3
-City landmarks are scarce, you can make out the empire state building and a few others..doesn't really affect you though
-could be repetitive to some, but hey we're all on an SRO forum, that shouldn't matter >.>

I'm not done the game so I can't comment on how long it is..but I hope it lasts a bit longer seeing as it cost me enough >.>

You get different forms for your hands. Like Claws (wolverine type), Hammer fists, Whip Fists (extends out a things like...a whip) etc. And With each type you have out, your animations to consume people change which I really thought was nice. Also, you can combine your types of powers. Turning on a Shield Power up with the Claws for example, so when you're running/getting attacked the Shield is out in front of you takin hits, but as you start to attack out comes the claws.

I'll work on some Videos. Cant get the transitions working on Sony Vegas sadly atm, so I might just throw it together in Windows Movie Maker just so people can see it. Earliest would prolly be Monday I could do it. I work 9 Hours tonight and am busy tomorrow.

I like how on the pc pick a skill and hold 1 then it shows like a mini scene of him transforming into it. instead of just picking the hammerfists he actually falls on the ground and slams the ground with the fists.. its cool

I watched alot of trailers, but I don't think I'll buy it.

The city looks too dull, and I am actually a bit turned off by the extreme violence against innocent people.

Yeah infection etc but still. meh.

I just bought this game today, its amazing. A lot like Crackdown, but with some virus shit lol
The cutscenes with the RL photos and shit are terrible, they should all look like the CG one at the end of every mission when it shows him on top of the roof on Day 18 of the infection

Prototype will cause more stress for your pc than AC lol, I'm amazed that with all the shit that goes on during the combat part of the game, it still puts out a good framerate on the 360

just beated the game on my xbox 360

seriously i was stuck for 3 hours ata boss(3rd last lvl) but i kept trying and after failing 23 times i killed the beast

this game just rocks.. the beginning is meh.. after some time you get better skills and then the game begins to own

It works really fine on PC as well. Still didn't have the 'lag'.

what i find funny is when ur transformed into a solider or normal person, and you go near the army, i find it funny even when ur wall running, jumping great heights etc, they dont detect you lol, when am messing about i find a old lady to consume and fight while in her form, its funny the way it looks when running lol.

yea i got that one, i couldnt really get on the actual tip no matter that i did tho, just jumped for it.
