People in America readily integrate though normally they are not accepted and their children are later down the line....
also to imply that muslims might be bidding their time to take over the country could easily apply to any minority group that was growing in numbers, you could say the same for Atheist for example. So while it is a possibility i don't think its a very good assumption to make or even imply unless you are specifically stating that it is an islamic/arab tactic that other cultures and groups don't use or are above using...

If people don't integrate you get segregation and groups grow apart, increasing the problems. We're growing apart in a steady pace atm and this decreases the efforts of them trying to integrate; the gap is considered too wide. They stick more and more together, which is why this is not something that will just resolve itself over time.
A lot of European countries (England..) have similar problems which explains the current voting.
and @Xemnas about the Arab tactic to 'take over' Europe, it's actually not that strange of an accusation. A lot of prominent Muslims have stated that Muslims will take over Europe "Through the lap of the woman". It is a fact that Muslims have way more than average children so the fear can be understood.. on some degree at least.

Radical Muslims claim Islam will conquer the world. Radical Christians claim that god made the world for them. Israelis seem to think that they are owed the land they took from the Palestinians as a gift from god. Religion breeds these kinds of backwards ways of thinking. So its not like this conquest via religion mentality is anything new or unique to muslims. IMO Muslims making these statements are just more unrecognized versions of the Pope whenever he makes his statements advocating the spread of his religion. Its all bad news but not new news...

Xem have you ever read any constructivist accounts of nationalism and myth-making? For a paper I wrote on ethnic conflict in Jerusalem, a couple of my sources talk about how the Israelis justify expansions, settlements, and the security wall through nationalism, religion, collective memory and perception. It's applicable to what we're talking about with regard to assimilation, religion and nationalism as an antagonistic force between two groups. I'll link them for you
This one is interesting:

Also interesting, longer read:

I was looking for some papers that dealt specifically with the EU but I have to get back to work.
