Little off topic but can you play rockband with gh:wt controllers? Since I'm huge The Beatles fan and I'd like to buy it but I don't feel like spending another 250€ for new controllers. And I don't have enough room for 2 drum sets in my room so...

You should be able to. The slide feature on the GH:WT guitars are obviously obsolete while playing though.

What about the drums? Since gh drums got 5 pedals (?) and rockband only 4.

So....with E3 over whats everyones take on this years show. i think we can all agree its
much better then last years and was nice to see a return back to the big old E3 style.

As for me? well there was nothing that grabbed me too much...Natal looked good, but as its
not coming out until late 2010 cant really say to much on it until we see what type of games
it will go with. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was a big of a shock as well, would of been nice to see
some game play but still a brilliant video and the announcement of 90% new content sounds very
promising.

so...whats everyone elses take on the show?

Assassin's Creed II is definitely on top of my wish list.
Other must haves are Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Not an instant want, but I liked WET, Mini Ninja's, Nier, Singularity, Dante's Inferno and Alpha Protocol seemed interesting too. Besides that, the main character has heterochromia, and I have it too. So I'm sure we'll get along. I liked seeing Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, A Boy and His Blob and Rabbids: Going Home. Oh, and Fat Princess! That game looked so funny!
Such a shame they aren't for Xbox 360, I'd have loved playing them.

I don't see where he admitted the Wii is weak... If anything, he proves that Nintendo is lazy.

He also said SMB 4 won't have online because it is pushing the Wii to its limits...

http://kotaku.com/5278060/no-online-pla ... mario-bros

Funny when this nice looking Wii game is going to have 4 player co-op online with up to 65 enemies on screen supposedly. It's only in pre-alpha at the moment.
Code: Select all

Also, if the Wii was as weak as Miyamoto stated, it wouldn't be capable of this.
Spoiler!

It's best to just ignore Miyamoto when he starts talking about the Wii's tech.

Wii should stick to its 7-12, 40+, people who can't play games, and people who try to do yoga in their home demographic.

Whether or not the 360 or whatever can do it isn't my point. I'm talking about Metroid and The Grinder compared to Super Mario Brothers Wii.

You got Metroid: The Other M, one of the best looking games coming to the Wii and The Grinder coming with 65 enemies on screen with 4 player online co-op and you and the biased people over at Engadget seriously believed him when he said a 2D game is pushing the Wii to its limits?

Everyone knows the Wii is weaker than the other consoles. But too weak to implement Wiispeak and online into the new Super Mario Brothers? No. He's obviously lying and covering up for Nintendo's laziness. It's more like, "Why waste resources implmenting online and Wiispeak when its going to sell millions anyway?"

Satoru Iwata also confirmed that they have no plans for a Wii HD so you can conclude that they think the Wii hardware is sufficient enough for now.

Also, many tech sites like Gizmodo and Engadget have a grudge against the Wii for some reason. They trash the Wii and try to put a bad spin on it every chance they get.
