[ECSRO / FEMBRIA] Strange ingame lag

ok, so, i have a weird lag ingame, it only occurs on fembria (i've logged on my vip acct and it doesn't happen there, only on fembria) isn't concentrated on one character, i've logged on my gliave and my lowbie stallers and it still happens.

basically, the best way i can describe it is that once every 5 sec or so (its a steady rythm) the game will freeeze and hang for anywhere from 2sec to 7sec then unfreeze and work normal, then repeat the freezing. it doesn't happen on any other games, i've updated my graphics drivers, my comptuer can deffinately handle sro in max settings. i'm running windows 7 beta build 7000 and i've had this problem one time before. it was fixed by (atleat i thought( uninstalling the SRA version of the client and getting the official 3part from the ecsro download section, but trying the same thing this time (uninstalling/reinstalling with fresh data) i had absolutely no luck.


anyone know what might be causing this strange lag that just started back today?

Have you updated any drivers recently? Other than your graphics of course.

nope, not since the initial install.


i just deleted everything in my settings folder but thewndpos.dat file and it seemed to fix the problem.

might have to do with your autopot too

Server lag for you only maybe. VIP doesn't have it because it has least players or something. If you are using an auto login, try not using it.

I know my ecsro lagged when I had bugged media pk2 in my folder. Once I deleted them out,everything was fine. Lots of people like to mess around with pk2 so maybe that may be your problem?

Stange ingame laggs, freezez every 20-30 secs for like 5 secs, then again and again.

It's not autologin, since it happens to me too without having used it...help ?

is it the WHOLE computer were it freezes and then if do something it beeps at you? well that means clean your hard drive and defrag it. otherwise reinstall with clean pk2 files

nope its just ecsro, and its not the computer, i've defragged, reinstalled, hell its happened the same way on 2 completely different computers. the .pk2's don't fix it either, i've done that too.

the only lag I get is where my char dose not move and mobs still attack me.

Oh true that..since I have downloaded it everything seems good unless... I get dced obviously

this has been hapening since before the 10d media, it happened then, it happened during the 10d media, but i havn't tried the newest media since i just found out about it yesterday.

It might be caused by Data.Pk2 ?

its even worse with the new media.pk2. the thing that i don't get is that i get 100+ FPS in game, my computer easily runs every other game i play, an this one lags like a sonovabitch, but not a normal lag, a strange, timed lag.

It's like you run smooth for like 20-30 secs, then laggs a bit, then run smooth, then repeat.

also this is not my computer because i have a single core i do not have this option

try restarting you modem/router and computer also clear cookies and if that doesnt fix it, it could be a problem with your isp and you should contact your service provider
