Taking damage when nothing attacking me?

I was out hunting Hyungno Soldiers the other day and after I killed a group of them I noticed that about every 3 seconds I was taking about 30-40 HP of damage. There was nothing around that was attacking me, that I could tell. I ran around the land a bit thinking I was just missing something, but the damage kept coming. Each time the "block" text came up for my shield too. I used a return scroll to get back to donwhang and it stopped.

This never happened to me before and I don't know what was causing it. Just before the damage started happening, I got done using my fire damage skikk (I forget what it's called - increase damage by burning own body) and the fire shield skill for protection against magic. I seem to remember reading somewhere about being careful using the body burning skill. Is there truth to that? Can that skill actually harm you?

What else could have caused this? If that skill does that, maybe I should stop using it :-P

Lag. A mob that was hitting you got stuck behind a rock/tree/whatever on your side, but on SROs side it was still chasing you and dealing damage.

Sorry dude but port 37 is closed. Access disallowed.
Gave in to the force of rationallity. Uninstalled this bot infested game and never looked back.
Now I just play in the OTL and my old guild forum.

basically it happens at soldiers the most i have found - you need to just run away a bit and magically it will appear behind you

now if only I could figure out how to successfully run from those lvl 35-40 thiefs that sometimes attack me around trade runs that just happen to be passing through :-P they sneak up on me a lot

happened to me with demon horses... i just ran to the nearest guy and asked them to kill it as i couldnt make it out lol

This is Questions & Answers - there's barely anything that is of any interest to anyone judging by the activity around here. If it alleviated his own boredom then at least this section was somewhat useful even for a moment. Nobody cares if nobody cares anyway.
