After reading that article and watching the first episode of pkmn I'm starting to look at pkmn in a different light. The first episode is really good.

I'm reading it right now and got to the point to where it's explaining why he always starts out fresh in a new journey with just one pokemon....and it's blowing my mind. I will never look at pokemon the same way.

the english version of digimon movie was a combination of the 1st 3 japanese digimon movies.

Pokemon was more popular cause it was first and had gameboy games etc.

Digimon had a indepth stroyline (more so then pokemon anyway), which was good but
when it came out everyone thought it was just like pokemon (or a rip off of it)
and was for that age group but it was realy for slightly older kids.

Digimon also had the advantage of kick ass looking digimon that had detail to them,
most pokemon are just one color for the body and a few others for like face and spikes, hands etc

I just watched the Digimon movie and damn it was good. It was nostalgic and the artstyle gave it a great Miyazaki feel, not to mention great dub.

pokemon was like a retarded version of digimon which is weird because digimon came after pokemon. Comparing Ash's journey to the journey of the digi-destined is like comparing "The Cat in the Hat" to "The Iliad". Digimon has way more depth and excitement and was just overall better entirely imo...

The First Generation was the best (Season 1&2) Season 3 was kinda kinda depressing, the whole thing was really painful to watch, not just because i didn't like anyone but all the characters had some serious issues, like Evangelion im just a clone nobody and my parents hate me and i got my friend kill issues...it just didn't sit well in that kind of setting. I really like Season 4 though i thought that the later half when you really find out what was going on in the world was really cool. Didn't watch season 5 and im not going to, i've learned my lesson about revisiting childhood shows..

Digimon was awesome to me. Pokemon, idk i couldn't watch 2 minutes of it. But definitely the first 2 seasons of Digimon was the best. And the movie.
