I get suckered into watching this with the preview of the show all the damn time, I think one time I sat through a marathon of 6 episodes hoping to see something - ANYTHING

I've never seen this show come up with more than some scratchy voice on an audio recorder. Possibly ONE TIME they had a flash light turn itself on and off, which could be loose bulb / batteries / hoax.

I believe in ghosts, I think I may have seen one when I was 15. I think they haunt the places where they died or lived their lives. I also think they have unfinished business that they had in their lives and that's why they haunt us.

I know, but if you believe in smt, you should at least notice its presence once.

Most of the time, you can easily call ghost which is wandering on the earth, because they still have "business" to so they can't go to other world yet. Those are usually ppl who died in an accident or died young who still want to live.
One ghost i communicated with is a girl 15 years old born in 17th century, her predictions and guesses are quite accurate. Another ghost was an old man, died because a train crashed him, got problem with his eyes and ears so he understood 50% of what we asked...

@inky: what convinced you that anything is discovered before the scientist and the public is considered a mental problem, when yet there is no major study about how ppl can eat bricks and glasses or even acquiring a superhumain power like pushing a car of 1 ton weight or let the car crash your arm but your arm still intact?

Lol Silo you remind me of my crazy 2nd cousins' family. They all believe in ghosts (even the adults), hidden gold (under my uncle's house - wtf), and whatever horse-crap "miracles" or "supernatural events" there are out there. And as far as conducting "studies" on those, the only ones who are willing to do those are those fraudulent nutjob "mediums" you see on late morning TV shows; probably because sane people see it as a waste of time and money. Are you also one of those "special" people who believe that some magicians uses supernatural powers to perform some magic?

Although I doubt that your ermm... belief has a major negative impact on your daily life, I would suggest that you go see a professional just to rule out any mental disorders to try prevent them from getting worse if they find something.

residual energy left behind from a living thing would be the most logical and probable explanation and in my mind its plausible so i guess yes. Not in the traditional sense of a dead persons spirit but more like a dead persons foot print made of emotions and energy left behind, imprinted on the fabric of our world, not sure how much conscious such a thing could retain, it would probably be limited and very specific. It would be dismissive and almost disrespectful to think that thoughts and feelings are not capable of leaving their own physical marks when they can leave such damage to our own minds....

there are unexplainable things that go bump in the night but you shouldn't let your imagination run away with you...

Hey you must have missed those episodes where they used that light thing to "talk" to ghosts/spirits/whatever. There was this detector of some kind, I can't remember what it did exactly, but it would light up 4 lights depending on how strong the current nearby was. They had the ghost of this kid responding with flashes of the lights. They would ask how old he was and stuff like that, and he would manipulate the detector to blink like once for "no" and twice for "yes". I think they ended up finding out he was like 9 years old and lived nearby the building they were investigating (it was some old factory that used child labor) and when they asked if he was lonely the lights went nuts. They also found him at a different part of the factory and he responded the same way to the questions.

I don't believe in ghosts but that shit is good evidence for sure.

When I lived with my father in Maryland going to college in West Virginia, the college was right across the street from the hospital that he worked at. So during breaks I'd bounce across the street and go up and check in on him. Well at random intervals during the day things would go weird; the large fire doors in the hallways (Which take effort to move even when you're trying to) would SLAM shut without a window open for a breeze after being locked open, toilets would flush in patients' rooms when the room was vacant, the community EKG machine (The machine which monitors the heart beats of all the patients in the unit) would show a heartbeat for a patient in a room which is vacant, and other just weird things like this.

The closest I've been to believing in ghosts was also here. There was a nurse there who would bring her male child into work sometimes when she was coming in for just a little bit. Well the nurse would put the kid in one of the children rooms with toys and shit and let him play while she worked. After one day she hollered for him and he came out and said, "The girl in there is nice mommy." There was nobody in there, but it will take more than an 8 year old's delusions to make me a believer.

Personally I don't believe in ghosts. And can't stop lolling at ppl who believe. I'm sorry. My understanding of death is that when a living creature dies it just turns off. Like some machine. Nothing like soul will come out of it after the body dies. I simply believe that creatures contains only atoms and thinking,dreaming,loving,hating are just some electric impulses going trough brain. In therms of philosophy this is called materialism.
