Zune Hd (Update!!!)

To all of those who haven't heard about this item, I will explain it here.

This is a new item from Microsoft.


You can say it is "like" a iPod Touch, but is different in many ways.

I am just here to inform that Microsoft will be making this product.

Need proof? I went and asked one of their employees at Microsoft today and said that they will be selling this item.



The only thing I do not have are the release dates and the price of the actual item.

Who cares? I mean if you were stupid enough to buy all your music from itunes in the first place your kinda screwed. Or atleast until they take the drm off. Personally this seems like a perfect way for Microsoft to get back at Apple for the last 10 or so years for the lack of a real Microsoft pmp.

I love my Zune. I think that it gets a bad rap because its being compared to the iphone and itouch, which is kinda unfair considering that it is only a pmp not a phone and is not a touch screen device. Should it be compared to any device it should be compared to the iPod classic.

Anyway draw your own conclusions on that, but one thing is for sure. Should Microsoft get their heads outta their asses and market this thing like Apple did their iphone and without negative campaigning, it should increase the Windows based cell phone OS market share.

and it is $15 a month for unlimited download.

Where you can keep the songs for about 10 months or so.

Still the unlimited download seems like something you would want though.

I used to be a fan of the Zune pass. Ive had about 5 months of it now and I porlly wont be renewing although it is awesome to just press download and its there, basically no price. Only good if you dl a lot of music though. I havent renewed for about 2 weeks now and I can still listen to all of my downloads. Wierd, they are supposed to be gone. Im not complaining though.

Any details about a price estimate?

I want something to watch some videos on for when I'm in class or on the train. Laptop I don't really have use for so these kind of things would be the next best thing for video watching. (My iPod nano just doesn't cut it lol)

Warning though; the screen may produce more vibrant colours and truer darks, however it is in fact smaller than the iPod Touch's screen, so if the Touch has too small a screen as it is I wouldn't suggest holding out.

The pricing would be around 200 IMO

Since it wants to be the "iTouch" killer or something.


Anything too cheap would not be possible and anything too much would just imply only a handful of buyers.

Only 33h music / 8.5h video battery life, no DivX/XviD/FLAC support, and nearly 300 USD. Think I'll pass on the Zune HD. The OLED screen is nice though.
