to be honest, I never felt that making friends was hard, didn't have to do anything special to get the friends I have today.

But yeah, you don't need 100 friends to be happy.

I have really never experienced the process of 'getting' a friend. I just met my friends somewhere and we just stuck together I don't really know how it happened. I have 3 real good friends and that's enough for me. I met them all in high school, basically restarted there.
You can't really get much friends if you're trying hard to get a friend, just be yourself and basically your friends will pop out of the blue because of same interests etc

You don't want a friend that you had to work hard for to become his friend. I guess you would also feel like the inferior party in the friendship and that would suck too.
You can also switch schools if it's not really working out. I know I would if I didn't have any friends or anything. Some times you can just be unlucky, so get a new deal so to speak, and go to a new school.

If you've lived a normal life (as most of us affluent kids have) with a healthy childhood, normal K-12 education, normal parents, getting friends, really, should be no problem and almost an inherent ability. You have to be either mentally challenged or just have one mean attitude to be unable to make friends.

Whatever it is, I don't know your complete situation. Your lack of friends might simply because the majority of your classmates are just not your type of people. Or something. I dont know. Just read the advice given to you, use common sense, etiquette, and good image-making to connect with others.

This will probably be yours until you die or go to college where you can try on personalities like clothes out of a wardrobe until you find one that fits, thats if you're that desperate. Lots of friends are overrated. If you make any friends by being anything other than yourself they won't be real friends. You're better off just accepting what comes your way. If you want to play sports, play sports. if not, **** it, no one will care 10 years from now. People tend to flock to similar people so if you get more friends, and you probably will just accept them as they come and wave by when they leave because people come in and out of your life like busboys in a restaurant and High/Middle School is severely overrated when it comes to that department....
