Well to Lempi, it's alright to have an opinion about this kind of video, however you shouldn't always look down on someone's hard work even thought it's not something you like, and it should go to everyone that we shouldn't look down on each other for thing we don't like,but this is just my opinion. Way to be an asshat, as you can see he wasn't profiting off of it nor did he claim ownership of the song or it's lyrics so good luck with that. Have you even heard the lyrics or watched the video made by The Lonely Island? I'm sure if they'd played silkroad they'd be laughing their asses off and patting him on the back for a great video.

Using that song in anyway regardless of whether he claimed ownership or not is still copyright thieft. Sooner or later it will be pulled from You Tube like most other videos that contain songs that arent being used originally, IE; You own the song and created it from original lyrics and backing music.

Let me explain it to you in ways even a retard could understand. He may own the right to listen to the music, but he does not own the right to distribute it in ANY way. That includes but is not limited to; Using it without permission on movie soundtracks (even top hollywood films need permission to do that, you know?) or sharing it illegally (which is the same as using it on You Tube videos as the soundtrack can be easily extracted).

Using it on You Tube is the same as sharing it on a warez site. There are several ways to download movies from You Tube and even more ways to extract the music from the video in mp3 format.

I reported it as it's illegal use of an awesome song from an awesome band and they should not loose any money from their sales because some person decided to use it on a mediocre video. Whether he brought the album or not, uploading it or sharing it in anyway is copyright infringement.
