Well I think I got a virus on msn cuz several contacts are telling me that I send them some lame story about weight losing pills etc, and I know for sure that I didn't send them

I changed my pw (since I was logged in on a different pc all of a sudden), scanned my entire pc with Avast and SUPERAntiSpyware but neither found anything. Does anyone have ideas how to get rid of it? Would it be usefull to install another spyware program (like the one from COMODO?)

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I never click those links so I have no idea how I got it :S

I used to get that from a friend on Yahoo Messenger.. she was very confused when I showed her the message that looked like she sent to me. I think she reinstalled Y!M and then I never saw the pills link ever again xD

You should probably change your password as well. They might have gotten your account info and are sending messages from a remote location.

I reinstalled it now and I'll guess I'll wait a while to see if I get any msg's from people that got it from me. Thanks for the tips guys =]

My computer has been acting weird lately to. I tried putting myself in online mode on the forums. But for some reason it won't show me in online status.

I was lagging on CS just a few days ago; so I downloaded like 5 virus/adware/spyware/maleware scanners and fully scanned my computer like 10 times and deleted/quarantined all the threats, now I don't lag

had that happen to me. kirk kept gettin msgs from me when i wasnt logged in.
basically some1 got ur account info and is using it to spam ur contacts. soon as the pw is changed it should go away.

there is a fix for it just get a real anti vrius.
if you know someone who can scan a hijack log file ask them to have a look for you.

You hate me because somehow I got a virus? That's narrowminded dude. I never click suspicious links or anything like that so I have no clue how I got it. And I have a good virusscanner/fire wall -_-'

It happend to a friend he deleted all the scripts and after he didn't spam anymore.

Nope I don't use msn+, just the windows live messenger.

did you install any additional plugins for it? this might not be a virus problem, but a plugin problem maybe? you might've agreed to their terms, thus agreed to let them spam.
if you already tried changing pw, then reinstall msn.

if that doesn't work, try out Spybot Search & Destroy, let it update and run it
i run avast! resident scanner, ZoneAlarm Security firewall and Spybot S&D and i haven't got any problems.

note: spybot always tends up to skip files sometimes, so let it run 2-3 times just to be sure.

ps: i also receive msgs from people about those acai weight-loss pills and crap and they usually are from the "not so smart" bunch of contacts i have no offense lol
