I didn't say that. That's what UnbeatableDevil said, and I sort of disagreed with that; even though one might say there's no need for glaivers to become hybrid (and I somewhat understand that), there's no actual disadvantage in going hybrid neither. It's just slightly different. I say it's all a matter of preference.

Well now it's decided. I'ma aim for 90%~ STR for now. Thnx for everyones help, I really learned thing about hybrids. It's really appreciated!

In this game no matter how much you put on str or int, you will crit ALWAYS the same amount, cause the game is so perfectly made.

and ... int goes for imbue damage only? No man !

+280% on soul spear truth for example means +280% for phisical AND magical attack power.

You don't believe? As a pure int I deal more damage with soul-cut (+120% phisical) than shock lion (+100% magical).

actually putting points to int means that you make some phisical damage to double and become magical, but cannot crit. A hp sacrifise as a result

str hybrid is not the way to go man..
some people say str hybrids are good and stuff but i just can't find a purpose to them. higher mp? higher mag def? doesn't make out for the amount of hp and damage you're sacrificing, especially the crit damage.
for your dual build, go pure str

btw im assuming you don't wanna be a hybrid int, with the nukes and stuff. since you can STILL become a hybrid int. but as for pure str, you'll have to make another char.

Adding INT doesn't lower the damage, it increases it.

a pure str can make almost double dmg on a crit, a pure int doesn't make even a quarter extra dmg. i know cuz i have both an int and a str char with heuksal on ecsro.
of course, if isro hasn't changed the way things worked back then.

I think he meant that they do the same amount of damage, not extra damage. Let's say a Full STR does 5k damage on a hit, and a Full INT character does 9k damage. When they get a critical, the full STR's attack doubles, so it hits 10k. The full INT doesn't get much extra damage at all, but still hits, let's say 1k extra damage. Which both results in doing 10k damage.

I'm sure i read this somewhere too however i don't know if it's a correct statement.

Wrong again... if same gear, same skill, same lvl, same weapon due to imbue, the crit damage of chinese chars will be equal (if the things I stated are equal in both chars)

blah, balance it however you want, just don't make scenarios, it's completely stupid. if you crit the same on a mob it doesn't mean it will apply to any other target. since you're hybrid you have some stats on int, so your phy atk will be lower, mag atk higher. you will gain dmg on str based, lose dmg on int based. same weapon same lvl same skills = not the same dmg, if you want a more suitable equation try this, scenarios = stupid. it depends on what you are hitting, you didn't mention any targets, thus making your scenario completely useless. end of story.

were talking about crits here.......... if you think about it pure str crits double right so a 5k hit goes to 10k. a pure int has a weak sause crit and hits for about 8k and because it is a pure it phy is low so crit gain is low so it would be around 2k for the crit making a guess what 10k crit.

we know pure str crits are stronger based on there normal hits but pure int dont have phy power so crits suck BUT they hit hard to there normal hits.

ok sure they wont be EXACT be they get pretty damn close because crits can varry up to 2k due to many reasons. this is saying there both using imbune and same mob and everything.

Ok i wanna join this pointless discussion about crits too!

Lets say an int hits ~ 1200 w/ imbue and ~600 w/ phy attk
A str hits ~400 w/ imbue and ~1200 w/ phy attk
Critical doubles phy dmg
Int dmg = 1200 + 1200 = 2400
Str dmg = 400 + 2400 = 2800
Just a scenario, but I think a str's crit would hit higher than an int's, but not by much.
An int's crit doesn't do much damage compared to its regular damage.
A str's crit seems to be high because the damage it deals normally is low and the damage from a critical hit seems a lot higher.

Overall the damage would be similar.
