So yes even if its just your opinion just like the examples above it can make you a real asshole especially in the opinion of others.

i stand by my statement. it wasnt too long ago that many people believe interracial marriages should be banned, that women should not have a right to vote and should be a good stay-at-home mom, that black people are inferior and cannot share a pool or water fountain with white people, and that everyone has a right to own slaves as their property. ALL of which were laws.

back then, running on the platform of being a Segragationist will get you elected to office. today, doing that will destroy you. do you have a right to an opinion? yes? do holding any of these opinion make you an asshole? To most people, yes.

why do u care so much about who other people marry? in the constituition there's an equal protection clause and everyone's entitled to life, liberty, and happiness. why do u care if two consenting adults decide to marry? mind your own business. if u believe in the bible, no one cares but if u going to use the bible as a reason to attack someone and call him homophobic names, then u can take that holy bible of yours and shove it up your ass. remember, jesus love everyone in the bible, including prostitutes and other outcasts. learn how to read the bible. the bible also say not to trim your hair and not to eat shrimps and other good yummy foods.

Im pretty sure being a bigot qualifies as one of those asshole things. Same as being racist, same as being prejudice. This is of course my opinion just like in your opinion its ok to detest and belittle gays. Its not even like gay people are harmful. They're a naturally occurring possibility in animals with two sexes and historically and socially they've helped pushed the boundaries of the writing, philosophy, civil rights, art, music, etc. Statistically we're clean and productive and open minded. I mean the list goes on and that what makes things like bigotry so inexcusable. That even in the face of all things like that you will stick to your opinion and express it as negatively and openly as possible simply you can.

I don't expect everyone to be like "oh gays, THAT AWESOME" but i expect everyone to at least show each other a little respect and remember that at the end of the day we're all just people trying to get by and the last thing any of us need is some dickbag trying to bring us down just because he feels like he can.

I made this thread to share the news with everyone. Yes, I knew a very few people would be bigoted, intolerant, immature, and will untactfully say very offending and insulting words. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in where there will always be people like that. There will always be people who hate just about anyone who's different from them, whether it be anti-Jews, anti-blacks, anti-Asians, misogynism (anti-woman), and the list goes infinitely on. So yes, I knew a few would flame behind the anonymity of the internet and act tough. Many people would not say the things they say in this thread in front of a LGBT person in real life. I already came out in real life already, so getting flamed on the internet is not something I can't take.
