go test ur harddrive =/
ermm look if theres some computershops around if u think u can do it urself.
if thats the case ur kinda screwed =/ there are also some software to test ur HD if its still works or is broken.

usually when it happend to me. and it wont start up to windows , only thing u can do is pray ur data is save..so u connect it to a other computer as an external hard drive. so u can pass ur windows using other windows of your other computer but it only works if u have 2 computer and a cable u can get at any electronic store >__<

But i really recommend u to a near computer store where they can do it right if the data is save'able.

Goodluck with it

Take it to a repair shop, chances are you can't fix it yourself. More than likely some devices would of come loose from the motherboard but since you dont know how to pull it apart and fix it, than you have to let them do it. Lets just hope none of the sectors on your hard drive got damaged.

Don't feel to bad, most new laptops these days have the ability to let you just undo a screw and pull the hard drive out with out having to open it up completely. IMO it's actually easier than replacing an desktop hard drive.

It's actually pretty easy, it's just time consuming and VERY confusing to put back together.

Yup, laptops should have inbuilt anti grav systems. Or at least certified military parachute devices.

Try chucking out the window, see if it works then? Plus make sure you're high up, just incase.

Let me correct myself then.

It's easy to take apart look at the insides. The hard part is putting it back together.

I actually never found it hard except the dam screen. The folding part thingy. It got locked somehow so when it was suppose to act as a hinge it stayed still and just kept screwing itself up even more.

Most likely your hard drive is farked up.

There is this little "needle" that reads/writes information on hd and in most laptops the needle will scratch the hd when dropped. Some laptops will move the needle away from hd disk when your laptop moves too suddenly. All I can say is "Have fun trying to save your works"

Actually some do have a system to save the disc when the laptop falls down...

Don't know how to explain it very well in english but in resume: It saves the disc when it falls.

Actually harddrives are really tough if they're turned off

If your laptop was off when you dropped it then I dont think the harddrive is the problem however if it was turned on the harddrive is as fragile as the other components so it might have been damaged

The reason I say that harddrives are tough when they're is cus my dad always said that and I never believed him, so a while ago I grabbed an old 20GB harddrive and threw it down the stairs it got a pretty solid bang but u couldnt see anything wrong with it, so i put it into my computer it made a weird noise for like half a second and then started spinning right away and amazingly it worked
Spoiler!

But if you dont have much computer knowledge and dont know anyone who has any i suggest you get it to a computer shop to get it checked

That's to bad. You should take better care of it so this doesn't happen again. Anyway, I guess it's going to be a costly lesson.

Hope ya get it worked out though.
