It could be the best Xbox 360 game ever, and a real kick in the ARSS.
The U.S. Army is testing the Autonomous Rotorcraft Sniper System (ARSS) — a remote-controlled unmanned Vigilante robot helicopter equipped with a high-velocity sniper rifle.
Its RND Edge semi-automatic gun is mounted on a self-stabilizing turret with built-in zoom camera, and fires 7 to 10 precisely aimed .338-caliber rounds per second.
Back on the ground, a human directs it using a modified Xbox 360 controller, which plugs into a laptop so that the operator can see what the drone sees.
"Having the ability to accurately engage single point man sized targets with an airborne UAV will give the ground based soldier the ability to have a high-point survivable sniper at their disposal when needed," stated the Army solicitation notice when the project was announced in 2005.
This is awesome. I love the way their using a modified xbox 360 controller, Lol.
lol bout time they started doin that, I mean most ppl have used a game controller to control things, why not make it easier and use that sytem for real stuff too~.
Depends on the sensitivity to me, i've played games where its easier with a controller and others where it easier with a mouse.

This.
Thing with that though, is if you're going for pinpoint accuracy and you barely tap the mouse and it gets off target, you messed up. Whereas with a controller, it takes a lot more force to move a joystick.

Have you ever tried using a touch screen phone? It's not as accurate as you think.
A touch screen mass produced for entertainment/ect use might not be as good as one for military though, I would just guess. But iPod Touches seem pretty good with that stuff.
Would probably be bigger then a phone too ;d.
I don't think a touch screen method would be that good for this situation though.

Obviously it would be military grade equipment. I think a controller would be the best choice for this. An Xbox 360 controller is just awesome. I loled at modded Xbox 360 controller. Mine's modded...in a completely different way. <3 rapid fire pistols in Call of Duty
