Re: Silkroad on PS3
true about they are similar to old macs pcs, limiting compats. But all computer hardware is compatible with software, the true bottleneck is how the software may read the hardware. So if he we had all of the source code to SRO, we could probaly compile it to work through linux or even a ps3 standalone format. The typical problem is what chunk data is sent, some go through at 32p, 64p, 128p, and so on. No if u could figure out the language barrier here you are probaly home free, becuz we know the PS3 is powerful enough becuz this game doesnt require much

it's posible but it's 2 much work for just one person... little team (6-7 ppl maybe) could do it in less then one month (for linux) and for ps3 is not so easy... and for the ps3 power: u could run it in high detail, cuz ps3 is a powerfull piece of electronic... and yea i manage to run sro on this piece od sh1t: 850MHz celeron, 448MB SDRAM, 64MB GF4 and with 56k modem...

Re: Silkroad on PS3
now that I know its possible, any1 who says not they need to check in on the ps3 and all hardware capibilities. People should know that files can be converted, u need to know the algorithms to do so but it should pay off in the end, I'm going to research about it, and no one has tried I'll try to get a team together, if anyone is advanced in C++,C#,VB,Python,C, or other known helpful languages pm me asap
