Armored Core For Answer (PS3/Xbox360)
Movie :
Code: Select all
What is it?
Armored core for answer is a mech simulation game. Set in a Sci-Fi semi-post apocalyptic world. The story continues where Part 4 ended. You as a player play a no-named merc who never speaks. You take on missions true a certain mission tree. Your actions (the missions you take) will influence the world. Will you slaughter millions? Fight to protect them? Or make the world more free?
Armored core For answer features allot of customization options to make your own Mech (Or called Nexts in the game). More options are available compared to Armored Core 4.
Does anyone here play it?

Well ZOE2 for that matter is an awesome game, it however has a completely different approach then Armored Core. You can not customize your mech, you have a pre-build mech with super speed and easy lock-on (ZOE2 is easier for 'new' people to 'jump-in'). Sometimes ZOE2 for me feels like brainlessly pressing the 'attack' button. Whereas with Armored Core you need to check your energy levels (and in the past you couldn't fly to much or you would overheat), ammo etc etc. Your design chooses will effect your actually battle performance, so your design should fit your fighting style. Thats why I like Armored Core over ZOE2, customing. Each bot you encounter has its own unique build and idea's (Well usually).

Being a newer game I would expect it to have better gameplay and or content...or else it wouldn't be your favorite, but as state before Z.O.E owns...both of them...lol they really need to make a 3rd.Riptide wrote:John_Doe wrote:In my views Z.O.E will always be the best mech game...

I love how the game trailers are epic and when it's time to play it's only 1/10 as beautiful as the trailer.
Let's see how this game is

Again I say: Customization, 'simulation', and deep gameplay => Armored Core.
Whereas ZOE is more aimed to combat and combat alone, its a matter of preference. And yeah I prefer building my own mech from scratch and having more control etc. Armored core is just focused at a more specific public then ZOE, which is more approachable by many gamers.

Re: Armored Core For Answer (PS3/Xbox360)
ok rip so i borrowed it from you and started playing
it together with a friend. we basically switch after
each mission. we started off with a white robot (ok
idk the names of the robots so i wont go into detail
on that), but then after trying out the controls by
doing missions, and forgetting to save the first 3
times after completing a couple of missions, we got
tired of the white robot and got a black one. u know,
the mean looking one. and i love it :3 first expensive
thing we bought was something that would almost double
the amount of energy we had. so now we could actually
fly.
it's a very fun game, especially the controls and the
modding. the only thing that bothers me is the LQ sprite
explosions. but that's basically the only thing that
bothers me. i love the easy storyline and mission
briefings. it's like, everytime it comes down to you
killing whatever gets into your way. :]

I always wanted to try a Armored Core game but I was too much of a chicken to buy one in case I didn't like it
(We had no internet back in 2000 to check out demo's, movies reviews etc.)

Idd small group, when we've got the chance we should do a 1on1 match Cin. Be warned: I'm not super good. Do you like the story of FA so far? Its way better then AC4, that one was more confusing....

Re: Armored Core For Answer (PS3/Xbox360)
I just bought this game for 20$ at EB Games, pretty good deal if you ask me. Anyways the game is cool and all, graphics could be a bit better for a game that was released in 2008. It has a very nice customization feature to it, it gets very in depth, to the point where its mind boggling. The only thing that disappointed me about this game is that it has no AUTO SAVE! I played for about 2 hours, then I went straight to the title screen to try and play multiplayer, but then it asked me to load a file, and it said I didn't have any. At that point I was like "oh shi-" and I went to Continue Game and I had no save files! Then I rage quit and went on Fable 2 :3
Overall, pretty good game for 20$
