Glaive in,,, Protector?

I was watching some pvp today and saw a glaiver in Protector rapeing a warrior of the same level.Can glaivers survive in PvP & PvE with protector usually, or was that a one-off?

sure as hell can.
the only disadvantages they get are
10% more mp usage, 10% less speed
and magical attacks hit them harder

otherwise its very hard to take them down as a str build

I'm pretty sure Ragnorak was a pure STR glavier using protector, and he seemed to do just fine.

I had a set of garm and protector, and this cap I'll have one of armor. If you're into 1v1 PvP it's best to have all 3. Even a +3 armor set is great against a warrior.

i agree with azilius i have a 10d armor set all ready for my gliaver.. its +2-+3 and hopefully i can find some pro later on.. as for garms those are grindin clothes

I wear Prot. I like it better than Garm.

I'm a full STR bow in Prot. my set is rather good, mostly all +3 some sos some +5 and +6, I'm lvl 58 with a 7 gap, and I pretty much kill any lvls around mine... now imagine i was FF... I could be even better Protector is the way 2 go!!

With your bot killing tactics you could easily get a fully pimped set of all three.

Ha, its good to have an armour and garm set yeah, garms for the grind + pvp vs int guys, and armour just for max phy def vs other str guys.....especially glaive, as the extra def vs a blader will help greatly as they have the shield, glaive should win 90% of pvp vs other str builds in armour imo. A +5 set is easy to do, so people should rlly have a +5 second set, and maybe go for +6/7 for there main.
