has anyone tried lightning glaive?

Post by user »

lightning imbue is just a bit weaker than fire but then with lightning you get to move so much faster

and with the lightning imbue, you can spread the transfer stun

Since imbue doesn't really make a difference for a strength character I'm sure someone has done it.

yea using lightning as an imbue if you don't want to farm more than one force tree is ok.

my plan for my STR archer is to level pacheon and lightning, then MAYBE switch to fire since the flame body series is a huge help.

but yea.. i think lightning imbue is ok

I've tried a lightning glaive. It worked quite well, the multiple enemy stun often worked to my advantage. That would've been the only advantage of a Lightning glaive though.

If you are using lightning or cold as your imbue, don't forget to have fire at a somewhat high level for the extra magical defense and physical damage. If you have fire at at least 61 I'm pretty sure you'll do just fine, doesn't matter what imbue you are using. :)

Didnt it just transfer it to a different mob rather then which you focused your attack on, not actually stunning more then one. just a change of which recieved the status?

And the shocked status, lowering parry, would be a pretty advantage too. Means you doing more damage

i never heard that. If it did, it would make shock status pretty pointless since it basically does the same indirectly. Lower parry means you hit higher on them, lower defense means you hit higher on them.

Yeah, they are slightly different but the outcome would be pretty similar, though decreasing defense is better than reducing parry ratio. :) If this thing about burn reducing defense is true, then following that logic poison would also decrease some defensive status. I doubt burn decreases defense, it only decreases HP, as poison decreases HP, while shock reduces parry.

I would go for fire... Only thing you would need from light is parry ratio buff, mag. atck., grass walk and phantom aren't must. You can just buy drug of typhoon or w/e they're called.
