Ok, let me start by saying that maybe I let my emotions override common sense in my post. I do have a tendency to do that. Nothing I said was meant to be directed at any
specific member here. I was mearly trying to point out that I
have seen instances where a poster was slammed for his/her low post count, and I just wanted to make clear that I wouldn't put up with that kind of flaming directed at me. I'm sorry if I offended anyone with that, as that wasn't my intention.

glamours moved from pheonix to apollo?
and edit
you really should wish them luck rather then trying to condem them
Thanks for that statement foudre, we would really rather be encouraged than discouraged

Yes, and I apologize to everyone for doing that

Tasdik wrote:Tok_Sic wrote:I also notice that you have 1k+ posts on this forum, Toasty, which brings up another subject. There seems to be some kind of "GOD" mentality that ties directly to the amount of posts a member has. IMO it doesn't matter one bit how many posts someone has or doesn't have. Having 7k+ posts doesn't make someone better than someone else. All it really says is, that person needs to get a real life and find something else to do with his/her time. Others on this forum may fall into that "GOD" trap, but I assure you, I will not. I'm to damned old to let some twenty something, noob in life, try to tell me that he/she is better than I am because they have mega posts, on a simple forum, about a "GAME". *pfffft wow ur rly smthn thr bra scuse meh sir meh dnt ntce ur post c_nt*. HEY that looks like a really great sig I think I'll use it

I don't see Toasty bragging about his post count anywhere. Nor do I see him telling you that he is better then you. I'm not really sure why you even included this half of your post. Hardly anyone brags about their post count. If I wanted to I could but I don't because like you said, it doesn't matter.
Ontopic: Good luck with Apollo, hope y'all succeed

I really wasn't singling out Toasty there, I just used his post count as an opening for the rest of that statement. And also, Thanks a lot for the words of encouragement.

Yes, that is exactly what happened. But therein lies the problem, I know that some of those people were Venus players that migrated to Apollo...Why? If they came over to try and take the server from the start, why did they quit? IMO, if they
really wanted to do it, then they would have stayed and made a stand. Instead they just left, without notice, leaving the rest of us to wonder what was going on. We didn't have a clue as to what their intentions were. Did they quit? Did they have R/L obligations that wouldn't allow them to be ingame for a certain period of time? We could only guess.
.curve wrote:I loled how you attack his post count like he ever used that as a basis for an argument.
I explained the post count thing above, at the start of this post.
.curve wrote:Then you pulled the age card.
As far as the "age card" goes, I should have elaborated more about that. I'm not trying to say that younger people aren't intelligent, because you are. IMO age has nothing to do with intelligence but it has everything to do with wisdom, and wise people wouldn't consider post count as a benchmark of intelligence.
.curve wrote:And wtf....who calls someone a "noob at life" and then expects to be taken seriously?
"Noob in life"- That may have been taken out of context. The point I was trying to make there was, if someone were to flame me for my low post count "I" would consider him to be a noob in life for even thinking that post count mattered. It wasn't directed at a specific age group. Sorry for the confusion there.

I hope that I was able to clear things up and to save face around here. As I stated earlier, I tend to let my emotions dictate my thoughts. A trait that I continually have to keep in check. Again, I apologize to anyone I may have offended.
