both the bans were lifted and i dont remember seeing any news about them changing their minds again and banning them anyway

Thought they did unban them. Plus there was a huge launch party for GTAIV there. But Australia's politicians do get anal about games. They seem to be unaware they do have an adult rating.

Well, I think you can't buy them from steam, but you can always 'buy' them off the internetz.

I've got myself a copy. As far as I knew it wasn't banned. My aunt works for All Interactive Distributions Australia and she basically distributes the games to all of the companies in Australia. I get them for massive discounts, plus I get tonnes of old games and Dvd's.

But yeah. I got a copy, it's just rated R18+.
