Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Post by Melez »

Yes, an oldie but a goldie. Even though about 6 years old, the graphics still look pretty good. The gameplay is also really good.
I don't like the lack of storyboard, though it's not that bad. And the game has some bugs. It's still classic. Aside from KOTOR, this game is my favourite Star Wars game.
Installed yesterday, wanted to kill the time, and I missed this game. Any more fans?

Here are a few screenies of mine, 56k warning:
(few as in, 10 or something)

Spoiler!

This is my 4th time beating this game, probably gonna finish it today.

I had such a great time with that game. The single player was fun, but online was so much more fun, I never got tired of that game. There was always something going on, or someone there that made it special.

I still got all the screenshots of the memorable moments from years ago. I had three computers since the game, and JKA was always the first to be installed, and it was never removed from my computer lol.

Outcast (JK2) was great too, had a clan in that game and we moved to JKA when it was released. We had weekly events and stuff, we played pretty much every evening, even if it was just to say hi. We were pretty much one of the better clans around, one of the oldest too, before it eventually died. And we still have each others addies and stuff for daily talks. :)

Loved the customizing in this game, Sith Council maps, Naboo Hills, Jedi Home. *basks in memories*

I love both JK:O and JKA, amazing games both of them.

Wish the online community was still as active then i'd reinstall it.
Or i wish a new version would come out, i would def play that.

Lol I always made a yellow one, always with the arm. First time I make a human character.
I missed this game so much I had to install it again. Haven't played it online, I only played Outcast on LAN. Though I want to try it out.
And tbh, I enjoy these 'older' games more then the 'new generation' ones. Reminds me of great times with PS1.
Cheers

A great mod i used to use was for blood, what this did was make it so that you would
always cut people apart with your lightsaber and that there would be LOADS of blood
as you did it...lol everything got messy :P

Also loved the Jango Fett mod, it turned you into jango fett and you could just fly
about the levels :P  8)

I loved/love that game! The gameplay was nice cause you always had to switch up you playing style depending on what situation you were in. And I loved the PvP, sooooo sexy

I'm hardcore JKA player 8) .
Leader of my country at ESL (Electrocnic Sports League). I'm playing it online for 4 years.
Even tho me and my friends aren't active as before, we play it at least once a week.

Anyway, if someone wants to play with me drop me a message.

Always had the stick thing, always hated the dual blades.
Next time I'm gonna play, will just take the third style. Heard it's harder playing like that.

Never played JKA but played (JK2)Outkast which was an AMAZING GAME!!!!

Turning on the cheat for realistic light saber, chopping people up was so much fun.Body parts just every where. Made it more of a challenge vs sith because it worked for them also. So one swipe made you a dead man.
Joymax, what a joke. (Thanks to Grandpa for the sig)

Jedi Academy has it too, if you slay someone then their body parts fall off.

EDIT: Wasn't it /broadsword #? I believe I put 3000 but I can't remember.

I don't know, the /broadsword, if it's correct, is for JK3, I can't remember if it was the same for JK2 really.
