School excursions
So my school, and I think almost every Dutch high school, has excursions in the fourth and fifth year of high school.
You can go to Rome, Paris, Barcelona, The Ardennen and Berlin. This is linked to what subjects you chose. Rome is for Latin, Paris for cultural/arts, The Ardennen for sporty people, Berlin for people with history and Barcelona for people with Spanish.
Next week I am going to Berlin. I'm looking forward to it cause my 'mentor' for the trip is a really nice and enthusiastic guy. He really loves history and loves to teach it.
He gets so carried away he once acted out what life was like in the trenches in WW1. In the end he ended up simulating being the guy behind the machine gun shooting down hordes of people running towards him, complete with "ratatatata"- sounds and a reload in between.
Anyways, I was just wondering to what places you guys go for your 'final' excursion?
(We have to pay for it ourselves though, it's ~400 euro for me. Pretty expensive considering we'll be in some youth shack with bunk beds where I'll shit myself every time I go to bed, thinking the top bunk will fall down on me.)

Re: School excursions
We don't have final trips but every other year our school does trips and its to Europe. Starts at Rome and goes through Europe and ends in London which we take a cruise back. This cost me $3,000 USD lol but it was worth it

Really loved the place. we were staying at an 70-years old lady, and She WAS f*cking AWESOME. She LOVED MONSTERTRUCKS, COPS WITH CAMS and didn't like FRENCH!!

Re: School excursions
Cool to visit places, but sometimes boring.
Haven't had excursions outside of my country yet. Damn lame'os.

Re: School excursions
I went to Berlin aswell.
My first 2 choices were Rome (via Venice) and then Paris, but I didn't get sorted in either of those 2 groups and I had to go to Berlin. It was fun though, lots of interesting things to see.
