When you click on a mob, their name shows up on the top of the screen in a box thingy, and the colour of the name can vary, depending on the monster's level. White would be around your level, green is below your level, and blue is way below your level. Orange is a bit higher and red would be a lot higher than your level.

Mobs are like gangsters ingame who will cut you if you don't give them 25% of your gold monthly for protection fees.

Hehehe I understand your confusion. I'm Australian, and over here a 'mob' is a group of something ie...A mob of sheep :P.

It took me awhile to figure out that Americans use the word 'mob' when they're referring to a single monster (they use the word 'mob' as just another name for 'monster').

Hope that helps.

It's not an America/Australia thing. A "mob" of something is a group of something in either place. Using "mob" to mean a single enemy is an internet thing. I've heard different stories, that it's a shortened form of "mobile", that it's an acronym for "Mobile Object Binary", et cetera. I don't know what is true, only that it's a quick and easy way to distinguish a computer enemy from a player enemy. In some games not all computer enemeis are "monsters".

In like every mmo mbos refer to a group of monsters, but for some reason, everyone in sro calls single monsters mobs too, you can blame the sro society.
