Storms?
Storms?
Scared of them? I'm talking about heavy thunderstorms, tornadoes and what not.
Cause right now there's a huge storm front moving all around where I live and on Facebook all of my friends are spassing out. While I'm just chilling on teh interwebz.
So yeah, how do you feel about storms?

Re: Storms?
Here where I live, in Brazil, the storms are not THAT bad (rarely they are bad at all), and we don't have tornadoes and etc. So, I don't worry much about it, except that sometimes when heavy storms hit here, the energy goes down for a while. :s
By the way, if you don't mind telling, where do you live? I wonder how it is to live where that kind of thing is sort of frequent.

Well, I like seeing a storm in my town. Right after it, the streets are empty, temperature is cool. Not a better atmosphere for walking imo.

Re: Storms?
Well tbh we don't get very many "big" storms either. But we do get our fair share of tornadoes and what not.
I live in the U.S. Tennessee to be exact.

I think like this about it too. I simply love the fact that the temperature is cool during it and after it.

Re: Storms?
Well speaking of storms, I'm stuck here in Alamaba with a tornado warning. Yet here I am just listening to music and chillin on here.

Re: Storms?
Not scared of them. Though one did become rather inconvenient when we went out sailing on the open water and got surprised by one. A rope got stuck in the mast, one we needed to get the sails down before things got worse.
I enjoyed the view from 14 metres/45.9ft, but next time I wouldn't mind skipping the part where I fell down.

I like em, i'm use em, where I live there's like 1 heavy storm of every week it seems, at least around the warmer weather.
Its mostly flood watch and tornado warnings, never had a flood but I hear tornado sirens quite often, been in a tornado only once though, lived in an apartment at the time, watching the news on TV as I heard a loud rawring noise then went down to the utility room of the building on the bottom floor which was mostly underground, in the doorway looking out through the glass door in the front of the building you could see the roof of the building across the street get torn off. Was pretty scurry.

Re: Storms?
Well I live in Canada, nothing happens here...
Once, after a good dinner which consisted of sushi, we wanted to go to an amazing icream place, which was about 15 minutes walk.
I decided to take my bike, and about half way through... There was a huge thunderstorm and what not... I was drentched and it was crazy!
My uncle was so mad, we HAD to go after the rain stopped, but this time we didn't take any chances, we went by car -_-
It's not that it's scary or anything, I rather enjoyed biking in heavy rain...
But there was loads of tress.. i didn't like that part...

The only thing that scares me is lightning. I'm petrified of lightning.

Storms relax me, I usually go out on my porch-thing when there's a storm and just sit there and think about stuff, especially if it's a thunderstorm.

Re: Storms?
Australia gets really bad storms.. Especially along the east coast. For the third time this year, my state is flooding. Last year, and for the past 20 odd years, we have been in severe drought. Down south, where it usually always rains, they had massive bushfires.
We don't get many tornadoes here, mainly due to the fact no one lives in the middle of Australia to record them as such. We do get tropical storms and cyclones. I'm not really scared of them because I live where they don't usually get to.

I love thunderstorms though. Not when they make me lose power.

Bad.
I like storms, but they get all weak and crap after the rain comes. So after 5 minutes of awesome it's all just boring rain and baby booms. I was playing Silent Hill 4 once at night when the power went out from a storm. It was epic fail and I was scared as hell >:( Seems storms happen at night the most.

Re: Storms?
Fuckin California has the most random weather. Huge things of snow this winter, in Southern California. I remember one summer it hailed randomly. Random rain storms. The odd thunderstorm every once in a while.
Personally...I love a thunderstorm. Lightning fascinates me. Dunno why. Thunder upsets the dogs obviously.
Right now...it's windy as balls outside. Will be the same tomorrow.
Same.
This may sound weird, but I love the smell outside after a good rain. The smell of rain. Mmm. Best thing to wake up to.

Re: Storms?
I love watching a good thunder storm, but I live in England and I am lucky to get 1 or 2 a year.
Re: Storms?
Ah, I remember now seeing a purple ball of lightning out my back door once. It was just outlined but you could clearly see it was circular, not perfectly rounded though. It was freaky as hell and I was kinda afraid to be by the windows and doors lol
Tried to find a pic on google but nothing came close. Found this pic though, which I thought was funny lol
