Pitbull : Downloads Total: 1,119,895
X-Perl : Downloads Total: 4,015,231

You were saying? :P

Reason is:

xPerl is user friendly right out of the box .. design is simple no need to change it .. unless you want some minor tweaking.

Pitbul on the other hand has the ability to be 100% customized. Alot of the ímpatient'people can't be arsefucked to tinker with the settings or make their own. That's why.

It's much easier to just take a picture of your Addon folder instead (put it on list view so icons are small)
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Code: Select all

C:\Windows\system32>cd C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns>dir /B /A:D >> AddOns.txt
Then just copy that text file and paste it here, noobs.

Carbonite has gone free. I switched to the lite version (which was always free) after using QH for 35 levels. Biggest benefit to me was the mapping features and smaller footprint. I haven't upgraded to the full version but I am sure are many features I would find interesting.

I am not saying Carb > QH. I am just saying you have the option for free now.

If you have played a rogue for a while you probably have a variety of adds you like. Two that I use every minute I am on in combat are comboredux and cutup. These are just two very small out of the way bars that for me are essential to efficient combat.

ComboRedux - just has a simple 5 dot bar (you can make the dots; dots, diamonds, squares, your preference) you can change the color and size as well. As you accrue combo points a dot lights up, when 5 light up burst them with that finishing move.

Cutup - small unobtrusive proc bar, shows length of time countdown of Slice&Dice, Rupture, etc, and an even smaller poison bar - show proc and length of time countdown of your various poisons

Hmm, I may look into that, sorta getting tired of QH. >.<

Some useful addons I've found recently while leveling my Mage:

Lightheaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest.

Shield Monitor basically does as the name suggests, monitor how much more damage can a shield take or its duration before it fades. Useful for Priests and Mages.

Dance Music is an addon that plays a music when you do the /dance emote, the songs played are based on race and gender and also can be customized and must be added in mp3 format into the addon folder. No songs are added by downloading the addon due to copyrights issues. The readme also includes music suggestions and how to edit songs to loop.

Afflicted is an enemy spell timer mod for PvP (mainly arenas). This is for people who just want useful information, such as an interrupt is on cool down and you're safe to cast a heal or that Blessing of Freedom is going to be back up for an enemy Paladin soon. If you want to know the cool down of an obscure ability say Whirlwind then this is not the mod for you. New timers for abilities that are not included by default can easily be added under the configuration. The system is flexible enough that any enemy timer can be added including traps or totems.

Havent used any add-ons yet.. still waiting for the client to finish updating.

Never really even realised there were such things, but they seem real useful. But, if i get a few of them, will they affect the game's performance? My laptop kinda struggles to play WoW on low settings as it is.

Agreed, and you should try Bartender for the action bars to be honest.

Where do you put your EXP bar?
Everytime I install Bartender, I end up removing it because I dont know where to put the EXP bar
