You haven't got a clue about the circle of life! Animals were put on the earth to survive, to live, to breed. Not for our own pleasure, for killing, eating, and skinning. I know we also need to survive, eat and to keep warm. But the numbers that these seals are slaughtered are wrong, considering there is already fake fur, other man made fibres, that can and will keep us warm during winter.

I am a vegetarian, and I am actually proud to say I am.

People need to realise that without the seal hunt, North Pacific cod resources will be depleted, meaning these fishermen who kill the seals get nothing. A fish boycott would be great to stop the seal hunt, I just hope you don't want any North Pacific cod anytime soon after.

The point is that they kill a lot of them,waste them <so the polar bears will die because hunger>,take the fur and sell it,that a lot of fur and it probably costs a lot.
And im not buying the story about keeping their numbers low because theres a lot of them.
Before nature had many more of them and was just fine,now because the situation animals die from pollution,global warnings so its not that high and still they kill 350 000+ babys ? The Fur hunt isn't essential to human survival, but it is the only source of income for the sealers. They don't necessarily like what they do either, but that's part of being born without the privileges most of us on this forum enjoy.

I don't buy fur, I don't support wearing fur, I would never club a seal, and I wouldn't want anyone else too either. People do this because they have to, and I will never support taking away their lively hood for my own personal reassurance.

I don't know why, but it seems that the World is now more concerned for animals and trees than for people.

Most of those hunters are natives that live on ancestral land, with their families having done it for thousands of years. Of course, us white colonists should just pick them up and plop them in an artificial forest with prefabricated huts where they'll drink and do drugs and then we'll blame them for not helping themselves.

It is well-regulated and while it may not be "cool" (awww, poor seals never hurt anyone, neither did deer, fish, crows, etc, etc) if they are allowed to breed unchecked the result is the same: They overpopulate and die off due to starvation or disease or something else.
