have you guys ever been to like an interview and had to answer this question?
i find it hard to answer questions like this and i want to prepare this for the ver near future.
right nw my answers include:
1. my interest in this area
2. how im unique in this area
3. what i bring to the table.
is this good or should i cover more. you guys ever been asked this before? opinions or experiences helps
even this helps, pretend your interviewing to be a silkroad GM, they ask you this question. how would you answer it?

Just be confident. I'd say something like.."Why should I be chosen? I should be chosen because I am the best candidate for this position, and I can guarantee you will not find anyone else more suited to work for you, than me."
Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes.

Exactly, when going in for an interview be prepared to boast/brag about yourself, your pretty much selling yourself for the job.

yeah thats the kind of lines taht makes it awkward.
i dont want to sound like a very cocky person. though i am.
i know i will talk good about myself. maybe i will go into more details and elaborate so taht they dont directly hear that i said im the best

Sorry but any employer will go for confidence. Which would you rather want, an employee who is sure of himself and his ability to do a job, or an employee who is going "um..er..well..um.." during the whole interview?
Edit:
Oh and of course you want to go into detail. What I said in the first place, this:
"Why should I be chosen? I should be chosen because I am the best candidate for this position, and I can guarantee you will not find anyone else more suited to work for you, than me."
is more of a thesis statement. You hit them with that first, let them know you're serious, then elaborate.

theres a difference between the confidence you described adn the confidence i will present. you said that right off the bat i should say im better than all others. i find that not the image i would present myself. idk, it feels kind of disrespectful. what they look for is how am i different. i ahve to figure out how to talk about my uniqueness without disrespecting others
